Good local supermarket with sufficient variety and fresh vegetables and meat. Excellent to avoid the visit to one of the largest supermarket chains!

Great shop. You can find many "special" things that are difficult toi find. 3 stars because the staff at the till are the most uncourteous people you can ever meet. Especially the blode one!

Good selection but prices are quite high comparing to other supermarkets

You can definitely find some good stuff there! A bit of deli - bio and products around the world. A good variety of meats and fresh fruits. A bit expensive however it’s not a regular super market regarding the options you have.

The products that are offered are from well established, high-level and prominent brands. However, Balaskas are extremely expensive and they necessarily require a major upgrade when it comes to their staff (not friendly to say the least and speak very basic, broken English) For example, margins in Balaskas as compared to AB (Alfa-Beta Vassilopoulo) are at least 30% more (some food items go up to 40%). I would only shop here if I was desperate (they are open during Sundays when others are closed) and strongly propose that Balaskas up their customer service game as well as to reduce their outrageously high prices

Walked in, viewed the selection / prices. All overpriced.

The store has some great products and is fully stocked. However, the shopping experience is bad. There are ALWAYS full trolleys in the isles, so you have to move them away to see what you want or to get through. The shop is extremely small and narrow so these full trolleys everywhere blocking the passageways and the shelves is extremely annoying. The staff also get in the way, as they don't give you right of way out of service/courtesy, so you have to reverse out of the isle to let a staff member or customer through. The staff don't seem to care that their trolleys of stock are in the way and they don't move them. Of course, management/owners wont care about this post, because, well, its Greece!
