★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful garden! Love the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful scenery. Grab a strawberry lemonade from the cafe while you're there! One of my favorite spots to relax near downtown!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice little Oasis in the centre of the city, ten minutes away from the old town/port. The trees help during the hot summer days and the animals and the kids playground make it a nice place to spend mornings or afternoons with kids.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As the main park in a bustling city like Chania, this doesn't really make the grade. The trees are fine for some shade on a hot day (which probably explains the large, busy cafe) but the floral beds aren't much and what passes for a local zoo is a pretty sad affair - a few birds, fowl and goats. So much of Chania is beautified by gorgeous flowering plants, it's a shame that a little more care isn't invested in this park to make it worth visiting, rather than being an escape from the sun.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Closer to a public park for American citizens in the since none of the plants were labeled or organized in our normal experience of gardens. None of which is a negative, it is a great park to walk and relax in the somewhat quiet oasis of the city. It has a couple turtle ponds that are kinda cool to see.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful garden and totally worth a visit. It’s amazing how it’s put together and cared for. It was easy to reach from Chania by bus, although the return bus had 50 minutes delay to show up.
I’d highly recommend a visit there if you like plants and gardens.
