The Municipal Regional Theater of Agrinio started in 1981 as the "Theater of the Municipality of Agrinio" and was the first municipal theater founded in Greece while in 1983 it joined the institution of DI. Ανακαίνιση, ριζική αναμόρφωση χώρου και ποικίλα θεατρικά προγράμματα, καλλιτεχνικά ρεύματα και γνωστές προσωπικότητες, που συνέβαλαν στην ανοδική πολιτιστική πορεία του. Όταν υπάρχουν οι σωστές ιδέες και οι κατάλληλοι άνθρωποι, όλα είναι δυνατά!! Ευχαριστούμε τον Δήμο Αγρινίου και τον Καλλιτεχνικό Διευθυντή του ΔΗΠΕΘΕ, κο Νίκο Καραγέωργο για την ευγενή παραχώρηση του θεάτρου, στο αφιέρωμα των Εκπαιδευτηρίων "Παναγία Προυσιώτισσα" στον Μαχάτμα Γκάντι, με την ευκαιρία της συμπλήρωσης 75 χρόνων από την Ανεξαρτησία της Δημοκρατίας της Ινδίας. Την εκδήλωση τίμησε με την παρουσία του ο Εξοχότατος πρέσβης της Ινδίας στην Ελλάδα κος Amrit Lugun, επίσημος προσκεκλημένος των Εκπαιδευτηρίων. Η εκδήλωση πραγματοποιήθηκε με σύστημα αυτόματης διερμηνείας για τους υψηλούς προσκεκλημένους των Εκπαιδευτηρίων και γιγαντοοθόνη έξω από το ΔΗ.ΠΕ.ΘΕ., για όσους δεν μπορούσαν να βρίσκονται εντός του θεάτρου. Οι μαθητές των Εκπαιδευτηρίων παρουσίασαν επί σκηνής τις «Δέκα θεμελιώδεις αρχές» του Γκάντι, μέσα από δραματοποιήσεις και χορογραφίες, ενώ με αφηγήσεις τους και παράλληλες προβολές βίντεο έγιναν αναφορές στη ζωή του Μαχάτμα Γκάντι, του Ινδού πολιτικού και στοχαστή, που αφιέρωσε τη ζωή του στην ανεξαρτησία του λαού του και αγωνίστηκε με σθένος για τα ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα. Τη βραδιά έκλεισε η παιδική χορωδία των Εκπαιδευτηρίων με τραγούδια αφιερωμένα στην αγάπη και την ειρηνική συνύπαρξη των λαών. DIPETHE Agrinio has reserved for us many pleasant surprises, for the last 7 years, thanks to its talented, creative Artistic Director. Renovation, radical remodeling of the space and a variety of theatrical programs, artistic currents and celebrities, who contributed to its upward cultural course. When there are the right ideas and the right people, everything is possible !! We thank the Municipality of Agrinio and the Artistic Director of DIPETHE, Mr. Nikos Karageorgos for the kind concession of the theater, in the tribute of the Schools "Panagia Prousiotissa" to Mahatma Gandhi, on the occasion of the completion of 75 years of Independence. The event was honored by the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of India to Greece Mr. Amrit Lugun, official guest of the Schools. The event took place with an automatic interpretation system for the high guests of the Schools and a giant screen outside the DI.PE.THE., For those who could not be inside the theater. The students of the Schools presented on stage Gaddy's "Ten Fundamental Principles", through dramatizations and choreographies, while with their narrations and parallel video projections, references were made to the life of Mahatma Gandhi, the Indian politician and thinker who dedicated his life to independence of its people and fought valiantly for human rights. The evening closed the children's choir of the Schools with songs dedicated to the love and peaceful coexistence of the peoples.
