Family business with very friendly and hospitable hosts. The rooms were clean and good size for a few days. The restaurant serves great food as well! We would definitely go back.

We have stayed in hotel Mystras Inn in one night in Oct., 2021 during our two-week vacation in Greece. The hotel is located in the centre of a small town named Mystras, which is at the foot of the mountain where a Byzantine ruined city locates. The hotel is clean. The breakfast offered by the restaurant of the Mystras Inn is good. Unfortunately, I have had a very bad experience – almost a nightmare -- during my stay in the hotel: when I took a shower in the hotel, the sliding door of the shower cabin was clamped. It broke when I tried to open with a little bit more force. Consequently, I was hurt by the broken glass and became bleeding in my arms and legs. If such a glass door broken belongs to an accident, I was rather shocked with the following behaviour of the hotel owner: when my wife informed the accident to him, the ONLY thing which the hotel owner cares is the economic loss of his glass door. He asked nothing about my bleeding arms and legs, nor offered any needed medical assistance. It is really an exceptional experience in my life, and in our vacation in Greece as well. To be honest, we met many kind Greece peoples during our vacation. Even more astonished thing happened is that we received a bill of 350 Euro a day later from the hotel, and was accused that I was responsible for the broken glass door. The communication with the hotel does not work totally. And I was charged 350 Euro from my credit card by the hotel. I feel really sorry for such a unfriend or even rude behaviour of the hotel. It is such inharmonious to the rich culture, the beautiful nature and the kind peoples of lovely Greece. Now we have been back to Germany and summarised our vacation as: we really enjoyed our vacation in Greece, but I feel really sad and sorry for our experience in the hotel Mystras. To justify and thus to correct the wrong things, we are considering to start a court process with the hotel. By the way: I have thought over in these days why the glass door was clamped and broken. The reason might be due to the thermal expansion issue. When I took the shower, the shower faucet was not at a perfect position, consequently there are quite some “warm/hot” water spray on the glass. The hot water and cold glass lead to some thermal expansion/deformation problem, finally resulting in the problem happened. Shout it be counted as a fault of the customer?

We came in for their food, and what a great taste of Greek food, reasonably priced, tasty and great and fast service. I do recommend it to anyone stopping by this lovely and cozy town.

At the heart of Mystras, this small hotel is ideally located for a visit to the archeological site of Mystras. The rooms were clean and a bit outdated but that in fact added to the cosy atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A nice breakfast was served at the table and a great start of the morning. The wifi speed could be better and also the matrasses were hard but understood that the newer rooms have better beds. All in all a positive experience!

Pros. We had a very good room, on the second floor of a stone house looking out to the Byzantine fortress hill. Mystras Inn is actually a cluster of 3 stone houses with its own on-site parking behind the hotel facade (you have to drive right past the people seated outside the restaurant and up a lane to the left of the hotel). Room was spacious. Water pressure and heater in the shower is fantastic, easily the best out of all our hotels on this trip. Lots of hooks to hang your stuff on, something which most hotels do not have. Also it has a beautiful verandah on which you can sit and enjoy the views and sounds of the village. Cons. Check-in and check-out was rather slipshod. We were given keys and pointed to our room. That was it. No friendly introduction, etc. No mention of breakfast time, we had to find out ourselves. No receipt given at Check-out; you have to ask for it and in the rush to leave, we forgot to request for it. The driveway to the carpark was super narrow. We were worried about scratching our rented car whenever we drove in and out. Probably a 15cm clearance on each side. Might not be so scary if you drive a small car.

An overall very good experience. I stayed in Mystras Inn for 2 nights. It is conveniently located only a few minutes away from the archaeological site by car. The 2 bedded room was quite narrow but perfectly clean, heated sufficiently despite the chilling autumn breeze of such altitude and is housed at the premises of a group of traditionally built apartments. I truly enjoyed taking my breakfast by the village's square, which was included in the accommodation price. My only complaint is the extra salty food served by the inn's tavern.

We had a great stay at the Mystras inn for two nights. The owners have built new accommodation with parking space behind the inn which have been finished to a high standard they will also give you a free lift to the top of Mystras ruined town to explore and walk back. The breakfast and meals were well cooked and washed down with Sparta beer. Highly recommended for a stay.
