Από αυτόν προέρχονται τα μεγάλα δωρικά κιονόκρανα και λοιπά αρχιτεκτονικά μέλη που βρέθηκαν κοντά στην εκκλησία της Αγίας Βαρβάρας. Με την κατεδάφιση των τειχών της περιοχής, στα 1897, αποκαλύπτεται ναΐσκος ενσωματωμένος στα τείχη αφιερωμένος στην Αγία Βαρβάρα. Ο σημερινός ναός, εγκαινιάζεται στα 1904. Είναι ένας ναός λιθόκτιστος σταυροειδής μετά τρούλου. Σήμερα στο ναό έχουν γίνει αρκετές αλλοιώσεις. Έχει γίνει προσθήκη στην κεντρική και βορειοανατολική είσοδο του ναού κάτι σαν σιδερένια τζαμαρία, πράγμα αταίριαστο προς την υπόλοιπη όψη του ναού. Μπορούσε να γίνει κάτι καλύτερο και πιο όμορφο όπως να είχε γίνει λιθόκτιστος πρόναος, και έτσι δε θα χαλούσε η όλη η εμφάνιση. Αταίριαστο και το φουγάρο θερμάνσεως που έχει τοποθετηθεί στον τοίχο του ναού όπως και μια αποθήκη εξωτερική. Όλα αυτά στοιχεία που αλλοιώνουν την αρχική μορφή. Πίσω από το ιερό υπάρχει πέτρινη στήλη με τη γραφή Β ΑΒ 1931 Πιθανόν να σημαίνει Βασιλική Αγ. Βαρβάρας. Στο εσωτερικό του ναου,οι στις τοιχογραφίες είναι δυτικής τεχνοτροπίας.
