Nissaki Sea View - Nissaki Sea View

Great food , very flexible chef will make whatever you want if he can. glGreat host and nice rooms. Can't beat it. Booking next year soon as I get home.

During a 14 day trip to Corfu we spend 7 days at Nissaki Sea View in room nr. 3. It had a bedroom and a combined bedroom and kitchen. There was room to eat both inside and outside. The kitchen was ok although we would have liked the freezer to be a bit bigger (only about 6L). We had a large balcony (long but not wide) with a good sea view. The interior is a bit old but ok. The pool on the hill is large and and has a beautiful with sea view. One thing our kids was missing was a flat area to place to play ball etc.. But the hotel is up a hill side so there are no big unused flat areas. The biggest problem was the many mosquitoes in the area and no mosquito nets at the doors and windows. The first night I got 16 mosquito bites on my back alone - even though I slept on my back. After that we sprayed the room and ourself, kept the doors closed as much as possible and used the aircon. That helped somewhat. Probably the overfilled waste containers on the street (that never seems to get emptied) help breed mosquitoes. They really should get effective mosquito nets for the balcony doors (or the entire balcony) and spray the rooms before new guests arrive. It is just a short walk to the small Nissaki harbour and the small but nice stony beach. The water is clear and not as cold as on the west side of the island. Nice for swimming and snorkeling. One day I did two dives with the local dive company (located on a boat). The first dive was a dive around the harbour and the next to a wrech not far from Nissaki. Around the small harbour there's about 3-5 restaurants and bars so enough places to eat. The hotel restaurant is good and the chicken curry better than what I got elsewhere. There are two boat rental companies at the harbour. We rented a boat for a full day from Nissaki Boat rental. We then went up the north-east coast and visited the many small bays, beaches and ports. This was really great and you could find many places that had clear water and offered as good snorkeling as you can expect in the mediterania (fish, bearded fireworms etc.). We paid 70€ for the boat and told that the gas could be 25-50€ more. However we only had to pay 95€ in total. That was cheap and 15€ less than what we paid in paleokastritsa. Great boat and good service. Corfu is plagued with waste everywhere. This has been a problem for years. We won't go back before it has been fixed. They really should increase a tourist tax to 5€ per day and spend the money on renovation and recycling. That would help attract the type of tourists who spend more money locally. Another thing is the bad maintenance and dangers everywhere. Rusty barb wires are located along the road and trails even though it absolutely serves no purpose (you can just walk around it) other than harming humans and animals. I also injured my leg a Nissaki harbour because of some metal sticking out. I sure others get hurt also but no one seems to care. If I had one of the local businesses then I would try to organize some local cleanup and maintenance. In just a few hours some of the worst problems could be fixed and trash collected - that is what people do voluntarily in Denmark. It would help the area to get a better reputation and attract more tourists. However these general problems do not change the fact that Nissaki is one of the better places in Corfu and that the Sea View hotel is good. If Corfu fixes some of the problems and we go back then we would be happy to stay here again.

This is budget accommodation and both the kitchens and bathrooms could do with upgrades but for the price you get an amazing location, good facilities and friendly welcoming staff. The two pools are great. My youngest learnt to swim in the small kids pool and both kids love the pools. The views from almost anywhere are amazing. As with many locations the views are a little spoiled by power cables (Greek gov take note - no chance I know). The bar and restaurant are both good which is useful as anything more than simple breakfast and lunch is difficult in the kitchens. Nissaki beach nearby is very lovely but a bit small and cramped on busy days in August. Other small beaches can be walked to north of the main beach. All in all the place is certainly worth the money.

Wonderful place. Very helpful and pleasant staff. A beautiful pool. A wonderful beach. Delicious food. Greek cuisine at the highest level. I recommend with all my heart.

Very lovely staff. The family is super nice. The property in very good condition and the pool area fantastic. Food and coffee for a reasonable price in good quality.

A very relaxed hotel, great pool, plenty of sunbeds. Good selection of food available all day, lovely sea views. Amellios, Anna and the team are the perfect hosts. Greek night is very popular and worth a visit, traditional dancers, a bit of fire, and some plate smashing. 10/10.

We had dinner in the restaurant. Nice terrace, but definitely overpriced (the tomato cucumber salad consisted of half a tomato and half a cucumber on a plate without any salt or other spices). The waiter was nice in the beginning but rather unfriendly and hectic in the end, even if there were only two other tables occupied. Would probably not visit again, there are many more better restaurants.
