Nice hotel, service and awesome food. There are 2 big pools and sea with stoned beach. Too slow elevators, so you have to go by stairs. Great entertainers, that has schedules for every day, plays music, does joga atc..

The Sunshine Hotel and Spa is quite remote and built on the side of a mountain, so it may not be suitable for those who cannot climb 40 to 50 flights (as stated by my Fitbit) of stairs each day to maneuver throughout the hotel. There were two main lifts at the hotel, unfortunately one was constantly out of order, so again guests must take to the stairs, or expect to wait a very long time for the lift to arrive. The hotel had nice beach front, but no sand only rock/pebbles, again no lift to beach, so expect to take the crumbling stairs to the beach. Rooms centrally located in the hotel were nice but small, however the much larger suites & bungalows although considerably larger are in need of complete renovation, saying that staff were very pleasant and tried to keep them as clean as possible, however the rusty taps, shower drains and toilets were impossible to remove all the rust. Food was nice but given that hotel is located in Greece, I expected Greek food to be served daily at the buffet, unfortunately this is NOT the case, as Greek food was only provided ONE DAY each week, this is unfortunate as the Greek food was very nice. Spa facilities were adequate with friendly staff but the prices were extremely high. Water sports and activities were always at hand, with friendly staff who spoke fluent Greek as well as English and provided guidance for those wanting to learn how to water-ski or for those daredevils to take up parasailing. The highpoint of the stay was the boat trip, which stopped at the hotel’s dock and took guests along the seafront and to neighbouring towns for sightseeing and a bit of swimming. The hotel’s entertainment and staff the worst part of the holiday, as entertainers they were not and for those who did NOT speak French, you were left behind, as entertainment staff spoke 95% French, 4% Greek and 1% English. To sum up the holiday, the views were beautiful, as was my girlfriend, who made every effort to always point out the good points of being on holiday. Overall, the Sunshine Hotel and Spa was adequate but could use a serious renovation and efforts to be made to get better entertainment staff. I rate the hotel TWO STARS out of a possible five.

I came here in the start of Autumn 2018 and the weather was amazing. Hotel is great too, the views you wake up to every morning are outstanding. There is 2 pools at the hotel both free to use for guests, it wasn't very busy during our stay it was just right. We payed for all inclusive so we were given a buffet 3 times a day with amazing food, all layed out and prepared with signs and labels. Night time entertainment is there too. Staff and entertainment speak French and most of the guests were French too. Some things we didn't understand but we had a great time. Bus stop outside the hotel to go to Corfu Town which is handy.

Hotel of rising sun, Sunshine I cannot believe that so many reviewers gave this hotel 1 star only! It seems like you all had to be really unlucky with your experience and room allocation. Let’s start with hotel location. It is simply stunning and after driving through all Corfu I can say it is one of the best located Hotel on entire island! It’s views on Albania and Greece mainland mountains are absolutely beautiful. It looks more like little village with a labyrinth of stairs and Mediterranean plants all over the place. This Hotel has a private beach with crystal clear water and many beach loungers. We always found a free one for us. On arrival we received a glass of refreshing juice which is nice surprise after a long journey from the airport. The porter took us to our bungalow and on the way gave us plenty information about the hotel. We booked a bungalow with a sea view and our bungalow was located in the first row so in the front of us was just nature and sea (amazing!). It was an apartment, generally massive place and probably the biggest I had, maybe after 5* hotel in Morocco. The rooms were clean. The only issue we had was the safe which was locked so we couldn’t use it, however the problem was solved imitatively (great fast problem-solving staff!) Selection of the cocktails good (6 cocktails to choose). Only one type of lager but a good one. The biggest let down was wine (from the machine). Especially Rose and White – they were undrinkable. Only red was ok. Food in the restaurant tasty and everyday surprised with something new. My favorite was duck in orange souse and lamb. Every dinner there was a chef on a side preparing some specialties. Some salads were repetitive but generally quality of vegetables and ingrediencies was great. Hotel also offers a one dinner night in Mama Mia Italian restaurant. They main menu 5 different pastas and 5 different pizzas and it comes with a bottle of wine (you can request more like we did. It’s inclusive and wine is better than served during the dinner or lunch in the hotel). Pizza is so so(far from Italian one), better pasta to my taste. Breakfast slightly basic and limited and coffee, hmmm I would say it was just a brown water. Please change the coffee! All areas of the Hotel very clean and some of them quite impressive, especially middle swimming pool area. This area was super quiet all the time so perfect for relaxed holiday. There was music on the other swimming pool and the area was livelier. We decided to use SPA for a couple massage. It was fantastic. Recommending it! The Spa is very calming and sparkling clean. However, the sauna didn’t work properly – the temperature was way too low and couldn’t rise to the right level. Very nice surprise came also with boat rental facilities on the side of hotel beach. We made a deal with them and hired a boat for half day for only 50 EU! And for the end, animators. They all French so the majority of their performances/events is in French but they are trying to translate most important things. I’m not French speaker but had always good time watching it. The animator team is lovely, and they will make you participate. So much energy comes from them. Charlotte, Dave and Thomas are only few to mention. There is a club within the hotel open till midnight and after one of those night with few drinks too much almost all from the club ended up on the beach. Some had also a night swim – me (blush). After this experience I woke up in my room without my iPhone. Lost but found and returned to reception. What a great and safe place to be! Generally, we are so happy with this Hotel and with everything what it offers. The Sunshine made our holiday unforgettable and we will miss it a lot!

We stayed in a bungalow which is located at the Bottom of the complex, they were lovely. Although we had a major flooding when we had rain. We had the option to move rooms, after the maid had sorted the flooding out we then decided to stay in the room as we wasn't expecting any more rain, the view from our bungalow was amazing. Lovely sea view! The food was a little repetitive after staying for 10 days, however they do have a lot of variety on offer. We had 2 different pools to choose from, we loved the relaxing pool. Staff were friendly, quite a steep walk from shops and things but there is a lovely Italian bar close by which serves the best cocktails. Short hop on the bus into the main town too. Overall lovely place and we would love to come back here one day!

The hotel was okay two years ago...... The location is perfect, able to walk and sit near two pools or even go down to the beach. The room which was a garden view bungalow was okay. Bathroom seemed dirty to us..... The shower doesn't drain very well..... The bedroom seemed clean but you don't know if the covers are actually washed. The biggest let down for me has been the food. Breakfast there's been no variation always cold food but always overcooked? Then lunch and dinner this has been bad..... No change with the food it's been the same meals for lunch and dinner....... But yet again overcooked but always stone cold. I get it's end of season but it's been such a shame....... Thankfully there's a bar over the road called the street and that's where we've managed to get hot food!
