Amazing museum and knowledgeable guide! The guide walked us through the museum and told us a lot of interesting stories about mythology, geology and paleontology. Definitely a place worth visiting if you are spending some time in this Greek area. ?

Knowledgeable staff and beautiful exhibits! The museum is set up in a private house, but it doesn't make the museum less interesting at all! The son of the owner gave me a very insightful and knowledgeable tour of all the minerals that can be found near Olympus. It gives you a lot of geological background of the area and it's a great way to start touring places near Olympus Range. I'd highly recommend going there! Sadly I had to cut my visit short, because I visited the museum during a bus tour of the Olympus area. But if you do have time to spare, do yourself a favour and visit this interesting museum!

Wonderful experience! We loved that our host was speaking in consecutively in Greek, Serbian, and English, had a nice sense of humour and great skills to interact with the audience. Yorgos is a real inspiration and made the whole experience unforgettable! He allowed us to touch some of the rocks and bones he was showing us, which was very interesting, especially for the kids. We also watched the stars and learned about crystals - it’s not the typical museum visit, it was a 3-hour journey in time and space with an exceptional guide. Highly recommended!

This was the best museum experience we had so far. Extremly interesting, interactive, fun and full of information. I highly recommend you to visit (and this is coming from a person whose thought before entering the museum was “Lets look at some boring stones”). The price of the museum was very friendly (we paid 6€ for 2 persons), there is also a shop, where you can buy necklaces.

This is a truly exceptional private museum. The owner is very friendly and talks about the collection very informatively. You can learn a lot about geology, history, mitology and paleontology here and the connections between them. The collection consists mostly of minerals and incredibly old fossils, all very interesting. A must visit if you are having a trip in the area.

Great museum, a must see when you are visiting this region! The owner has a great collection which took him over 30 years to gather and of which he likes to talk and show a lot! Expect a classroom style room, filled with cabinets of stones, bones and fossiles. In front of a whiteboard, he will tell his story, followed with a visit to a 2nd room filled with stones and more information about Greece. His English is perfect to understand and when other people join, he will explain his story in more languages He brings together geology, history and mythology which is very nice to hear. It is said that the original discus used by the ancient Greeks in their Olympics was in fact a fossilized ammonite - one you can see and hold in this museum!
