Sorry to tell that true about that hotel is not what are reading in reviews, that hotel is 2 star not 4stars hotel. On our first night we found sound from tree roof of something like insect's probably. After offering another room which seams to not been used for a while, we did get fund alot of insects, 4st of them 2st 1000feets mask and one of them on bed on side of bed when we try to sleep at 1 o'clock in night which we did do confirm with staff. And he did promise action to change room again but staff from reception did not confirm that and said we are not sure what you have seen. Funny thing was Tony which works here did kill mask ny him self. And was not concerned because of insects and sayed it's very normal to have some. Not to mention more about ants which goes into you clothes and bags. We have not sleep for almost 4nights and we have not seen good things while you are not feel safe with you rest and sleep only when you are very tired. And are stay because Solresor did either offer other hotels because they where overbooked. Do not recommend this hotel at all. recommed to pay extra and end up with really clean at least real 4star hotel in Crete and Greece. Pool is 1.6 to 2.7m deep. Food was bit poor especially breakfast, but it works for some days to select some from menus for dinner, there sallads, pizza and sovlaki was good. No parkings really, have to stay on way. 200m to main road, 450m to sea, bot beach is.bit stoney and getting deep on some meter. Bus to Xania cost 3euro at main time. Recommend to have car

This is a hotel village that offers apartments in different sizes. It is located in a geographical sweet spot with enough distance from the main road to not hear any noise but only a couple of minutes walk from the beach. It's seemingly most frequently visited by families with kids in all ages and the occasional party gang. The staff was in general friendly and chatty. We got a 2 room apartment which included a large sized bed (180cm/71 inches in width) and a joint living area/small pentry. Nothing on the walls nor any carpets made the place feel very spartan. The living area had two couches that can be made into (shorter) sleeping accomodations. The pentry was equipped with a single hob, a coffee maker, toaster and the usual glasses, cutlery, plates, pots and pan. It also had a small fridge with a freezer compartment. Be aware that the fridge makes a bit of a humming sound during the night, if that is something that bothers you whom's sleeping on the couch. The restroom has a shower cabinet and included some soap. There wasn't any shower gel nor shampoo so we had to get it on our own. The house cleaning was great! It always felt very fresh. The staff cleans, makes your bed, wash your dishes, empties the trash etc. The towels are changed about every second day. You aren't allowed to use the towels at the pool. The pool is open between 08 and 19 (8 a.m. to 7 p.m.). This is conveniently when the sun sets behind the buildings to the west. One of the evenings there was a "pool party", where many of the kids played into late in the night with flashing lights and music. There is a bar and restaurant on premises with generous opening hours, closing 23 (11 p.m.) every day. A beer is a couple of EUR, where a drink will set you back about €8. They also sell ice creams. By the main road (one block away) there's bars and restaurants. There's also the local bus that takes you to other beaches all the way into Chania (the beaches generally gets nicer the closer to Chania you get). It departs about every 15 minutes between 06 and 00 (6 a.m. and 12 p.m.). It costs 2,1€ one way, you can pay in cash on the bus and it takes about 20 minutes. The apartment has power outlets conveniently placed throughout the rooms, perfect for charging your devices. Some things that could have been improved included the doors inside the apartment that were difficult to shut without slamming them. The door into the apartment also locked itself when closed. As we only had one key that was also used to activate the electricity we used a towel to make sure we weren't locked out. Some nights when we were getting ready for bed it was hot and sticky but opening the barred window slightly helped and it got cooler during the night. AC was not included but a add-on. We stayed here during July with temperatures of about 35°C (95°F) in the days and around 20°C (68°F) in the nights and we were find. But just, I might add. The wifi was also pretty patchy. Had to spend most of my time on the mobile network since the wifi was slow and disconnected frequently. This was on a iPhone. A family member rocking a Huawei didn't experience the problem with disconnects. Fortunately the 4G network was pretty reliable. Lastly, in the days, there are screeching bugs around that make a loud noise. I'll include a video in the review so that you can hear it yourself. I enjoyed the stay at Omega and would recommend it to travelling families looking for accommodation in this area.

My wife and my mother stayed here in August. I the 25 years I have been traveling around Europe I have nevet met such friendly, serviceminded and sweet peaople then those working at this hotel. Tony and Dimitris are amasing. The hotel is well kept, clean, charming, lovly and peacefull. A nice little intimate hotel where everyone is welcomed like it was home. My very best recomendations goes to Omega Platanias
