★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This 16th century mosque is one of the few remnants from the Ottoman empire and one of the landmarks of the town. It was built by the famous architect Sinan Pasha for the prince Osman Shah, son of Sultan Suleiman.
According to legend the mosque was built as a thank you when the prince was healed from his ailing illness in Trikala.
Among the many mosques that the city used to have, this is the only one left standing.
