★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lucky to have found that place right at the Piräus train station. Sit here on the street to some proper garlic and onions. Infectious good mood by staff and people around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A perfectly inconspicuous storefront in Naxos hides this little gem of a taverna. The owner, Fotis, invited us in with open arms and a huge smile, and directed us to one of the tables helpfully covered in wax paper to ward off the inevitable grease stains. The menu was short: instead of variety, the focus seemed to be on making a few traditional meals well. We ordered roasted lamb, gyros, Greek salad and a serving of pita. Everything was ready in five minutes: the portions were huge and the meals every bit as authentic as we hoped they would be. The lamb was particularly tasty and the owner trying his best to explain to me using body language and a phone equipped with Google Translate that I should drop my fork and knife and use my hands for the lambchop instead added a touch of hilarity to the meal. The prices were fair for this type of restaurant: we paid €32 for everything including drinks, the most expensive item being the lamb at €13 (note that unlike most other meals, the price of the roasted lamb is based on weight: the barebones menu isn't very clear on this). Overall, the authentic and delicious meals and the friendly service make this place one that I can only recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The cuisine served here is large and of very good price. The half-fat-half-thin lamb has no funky odor and it is of great quality. This gentleman is the owner of the restaurant, holden on his hand is the souvlaki, which I also recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place, very friendly staff. I didn't speak much of Greek and the people there didn't speak much of English, but the cook was very happy to take time to explain to us the different dishes, as well as take us to the kitchen so we could see and try some of it to help with the choice.
Massive amount of food, very good bread, I'm happy I haven't had a breakfast this day, otherwise I couldn't have eat it all.
Very cosy atmosphere too, felt like a small town restaurant where people knows and greets each other.
Thank you again, efkharîsto !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place looks authentic with a lot of locals eating there but I got the impression you have a different service when you’re a tourist. I went there alone last week and got recommended roasted lamb (35€/Kg) and got charged 19€. Half of it was bones. They serve you a big portion of pita bread that you didn’t asked for it, thinking it comes with the dish, and charge it extra. I left with a feeling of disappointment since I prefer to spend my money on local Greek places for the local people instead of gentrification tourist westernized places, but sometimes, I don’t know what’s more worth it to be honest. This experience showed that, unfortunately, we need to be very careful about trusting people here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place and very friendly owner and staff. They have lots of options for non vegetarian as everywhere here in Greece, but still there are some good options for vegetarian too. We ordered Greek salad and something with Cheese with Pommes, its war amazing and in very good quality. You should try it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would come back just for the bread! We tried pork gyros and pork souvlaki- absolutely delicious. Served with warm bread, salad and tzatziki. Really friendly owners too. Highly recommended! Convenient location if you are near the ferry port.
