★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Όμορφος χώρος μέσα στο χωριό Φανάρι δίπλα στην Ανδρίτσαινα. Τρεχούμενα νερά κάτω από πλατάνια με πετρόχτιστη γέφυρα. Διαδρομή πεζοπορίας. Λίγη περισσότερη καθαριότητα χρειάζεται και κάποιο παγκάκι για να ξαποστάσει κάποιος.
Beautiful place in the village of Fanari next to Andritsaina. Running waters under plane trees with a stone bridge. Hiking trail. A little more cleaning is needed and a bench to rest.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Οι μαστόροι που χτίζανε το μεγάλο γιοφύρι που’ ναι στο Φανάρι, κοντά στο Παχυπόδι, ήσαν όλοι σταυραδέλφια κι είχανε μαζί τους και σταυραδελφή, τσιούπα απάρθενη, που τους κουβαλούσαν αδιάκοπα νερό να δροσίζονται απ’ τη μεγάλη δίψα, γιατί δουλεύανε με το λιοπύρι.
Φτιάνανε οι μαστόροι το γιοφύρι πανώριο και ασάλευτο ως τη μέση, μα τότες ξάφνου γκρεμιζότανε. Φανταστήκανε ότι κάποιος πρέπει να θεμελιωθεί από τους δουλευτάδες για να στεριώσει ακέριο το γιοφύρι.
Βάζουνε κλήρο και πέφτει στη σταυραδέλφη. Δεν της λένε τίποτα, Μα μ’απάτη μια νύχτα απάνου που κοιμότανε την πήρανε και τη θεμελιώσανε στο γιοφύρι.
Ξύπνησε η δόλια, σαν ένιωσε κατάκρυες και βαριές πέτρες να της βάζουνε απάνω της, αρχίζει τις σκούζες, παρακαλά τους μαστόρους να τη ξεθεμελιώσουν, τους ξορκίζει σα σταυραδέλφια της, μα αυτοί κοιτάζουν το χτίσιμο τους. Η θεμελιωμένη βογκάει και κλαίει συνέχεια και οι κλάψες και τα κούφια βογκητά της ακούγονται τις νύχτες. (Εργασία Περιβαλλοντικής Ομάδας 1ου Ε.Λυκείου Αμαλιάδας, 2006)
