★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice people, it was closed, after a twenty minute walk, but no sign to warn us off.. Still, the security guard was nice. Need better signage.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Closed as of 06/04/19. There is not a great deal to see from behind the fence, however it appears re_construction is under way. The theatre was visible (not accessible). The sanctuary of Eukleia was also inaccessible and sheeted over. There is vehicle access as far as the theatre. If you plan on sneaking off on one of the organised trips (as I did) bear in mind it is a brisk 20 min walk up hill just to get there. I'm glad I made the effort the views are worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We parked our car in the village carpark and walked up as directed by the signs. Other people drove up. The site is open, but still an open archeological dig and restoration. I am amazed at the palaces size.
Staff at the site met us at the gate and assisted us to walk to a viewing platform where we could view the site where Alexander the Great grew up and was educated before taking over his fathers empire and taking over the known Greek world.
We were not allowed to take photos while the restoration occurs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The palace is being rebuilt during the next 15 years. Entrance is not allowed. It's closed for visitors. We can't even watch the palace from a distance. This is very dissapointing. Nothing on the internet or on the website mentions anything about the closure.
