★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Compact marina with the minimalistic but beautiful Greek chapel next to it. You will find at least five captains to offer you trips to the town of Malia and some to the Sisi with BBQ and diving for about 25-30 €. Also the rental agency for little boats is located here (250€/day for one boat or 150€/day for half a day). You will find also bars and restaurants nearby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really friendly people run this lovely museum giving you an authentic picture of what Cretan life was like before tourism. Among the modern buildings, hotels and general bustle this is a wonderful oasis of calm. Totally recommend a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's meant to be some historical monument. It's impossible to understand what it is, though. It's been closed for at least 2 years.
There is a small vista point with a couple of benches. Sad, it's not kept in proper condition. Greeks seem not to care about waste and dirtiness anywhere

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's beautiful down on the seafront, with many restaurants/cafes and shops, however for me, it's let down by the high street, which is too busy and too noisey, so we missed most of that out, hence 4 stars.
