Μεσα στον περίβολο βρίσκεται και η εκκλησία του Αγίου Ιωάννη αφιερωμένη στον Ιωάννη Παπαφη ! Στο νοτιοδυτικό τμήμα της έκτασης βρίσκεται υπό κατασκευή ομώνυμος σταθμός του μετρό.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Αυτα τα κοινωνικα Ιδρυματα τα ζηλευαν οχι μονο οι Βαλκανιοι αλλα ολοι οι Ευρωπαιοι. Αν σκεφτειτε οτι οταν ειχε γινει απο τον Ιωαννη Παπαφη η Δωρεα περι το 1900 στα αντιστοιχα Βασιλεια, Πριγκιπατα της Αυστροουγγαριας σημερινης Γερμανιας οι Βασιλεις δημιουργουσαν Συνεργασειες για Τραπεζικα Ιδρυματα χωρις να υπαρχει υποστηριξη για τους αδυναμους η φτωχους.
Εγω μεγαλωνοντας μεσα στο Παπαφειο λογω του οτι ο Πατερας μου ηταν Αρχιμαγειρας και υπευθυνος για την συτιση 830 περιπου Ορφανων παιδιων μπορω μονο να θαυμασω την Οργανωση και την Αγαπηκαι την αφοσιωση που ειχαν οι Ανθρωποι για τα παιδια.
Ευχομαι να συνεχισει να υπαρχει για παντα.
