★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Crowded in August by locals, very few foreign tourists.
The place is overbuilt has narrow streets and a very-very short waterfront promenade walkway, it's shameful, for such a naturally beautiful place!
Very limited designated parking for easy close access to the beaches.
Beaches have plenty of sand, not properly maintained though and mostly undeveloped.
Very few spots on the beaches have running-water showers, have NO WCs, NO cloth-changing huts and NO natural shade! (One wonders: In little remote bare islands, there are trees on the sandy beaches, why couldn't they be here, in the green Astros???)
Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops mostly of the run of the mill type.
As for overnight
accommodations, not to speak of.

good all year round weather warm summer but not very hot mild winters.
