 Incredible ancient Greek city with an antiquity dating from approximately 4800 years, regrettable that the Greek government does not protect this thousand-year-old and unique submerged archaeological site from the damage that tourists and boats do.

Be sure to dive with a mask, the foundations of the underwater village are shallow and admirable in the summer months when the waters are clear and calm.

It is worth visiting a very nice sea and of course the oldest sunken city in the world that only in Greece in Pavlopetri

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful site. You can swim above the sunken city. Don't expect standing pillars though. It's all bits and pieces. Carved rock hints on past structures. Lots of shells too.

Ofcourse don’t expect to see “Atlantis” but it’s still remarkable. Only a few locals on the beach, we were the only tourists :)
No underwater camera so only pic’s from the beach area.
