They have big dogs, little dogs, shy dogs, brave dogs and they all like walkies. Some like to run. You can go in the daytime to walk any dog or dogs you like.

Amazing work done to protect the stray animals of Paros! They vaccinate, microchip and get the animals passports and they can travel to get nice homes that care for them! Great work!!

Unfortunately, my experience with them is negative. My parents went to Paros for a 3 week holiday, where they took care of a sick stray cat that lived close to their accomodation place. I wrote a message to this shelter in order to find a solution for that poor soul. My parents really wanted to help the cat. An old, toothless, helpless cat. They didn't answer at first, but I insisted and they told me to send them pics of the cat and a telephone number. I did and asked them kindly to help, or at least suggest something for my parents to help. No, they didn't write back again, they never contacted my parents and just ignored the whole situation. I understand perfectly that the shelter can't help all the animals in need, but at least could've come up with a solution or suggestion. They could have guided my parents to a vet because they don't speak Greek. Plain indifference, that's what I got. They probably only help dogs and fluffy, cute kittens, not injured and older cats. I'm disappointed and saddened. They knew my parents were going to leave Greece soon and decided not to bother at all. I'm wondering whether they are animal lovers at all. Just take a look at your neighbour country, Turkey, where they love and help all kinds of stray cats, not just cute, young ones. If I could rate it 0 stars, I would.

We called for a sick cat and they refused to help! They told us that it's our fault as we don't look after cats. Let me be clear this cat wandered from the street and we called them to help. It's their job as volunteers to respond, this is what they signed up for. Basically leave the cat on the street to die. Pathetic

Fabulous! If you're on Paros and you like animals I highly recommend going to the shelter. You can pet dogs and cats, walk the dogs and generally support the excellent work going on there. All the animals are loved and well cared for and the shelter is clean and bright, and set in amazing countryside. The volunteers and the staff are super lovely and it's well worth a visit. It makes your day to see such animal love!
