M	Moyna McCullough on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I started Greek lessons in Thessaloniki with Ilya in June 2020, and now I am continuing my lessons from Ireland via Zoom. I love my lessons with Ilia. She always selects material which is just the right level for me. I have lots of opportunity for speaking which is what I need most, and Ilia is always patient and encouraging. I am sorry that at the moment I cannot travel to Greece, and that the activities are not possible, but I look forward to a time when I can return to Greece and practise what I have learned.

Through them you learn Greek through the lens of literature, poetry, history, theater, film and politics. You learn about the local festivals and events. You learn about the Greek way of life. All this while also learning the language. We started with them in 2017 and here we are in 2021, continuing their interesting and engaging lessons which are never repetitive, never boring. Our original review a few months after we first started class is below. January 2018: My husband and I have been taking private Greek language lessons from the teachers at Peek at Greek for almost two months. Peek at Greek is a small school, run by dedicated and passionate teachers with a love for teaching Greek language and culture. The teachers are knowledgeable, patient and go out of their way to create interesting lessons, often customized to individual's needs. The pace is adjusted based on available time and learning capacity. The grammar and vocabulary lessons are structured around individuals' interests, with outings to markets, museums and restaurants thrown in. The school in Thessaloniki is very centrally located, a stone's throw away from the Aegean and many restaurants and cafes.

The teachers were amazing and although I had 2nd thoughts initially to take up another language (I am 48 now), the lessons very interesting and kept me focused throughout the duration. Trips, Games, Cultural activities... Thank you Katerina and Ilia for all your help in this journey! Highly recommended!

They are masters in motivation: they tailor your lessons exactly around your interests, whether those are Greek songs or the history of Greece. I have been following private lessons through Skype by Katerina for one year and have a lot more confident to speak (and even write) Greek.

With the help of the dedicated instructors at Peek At Greek I was able to progress to a point where I can communicate in many ordinary situations. The teachers combine lessons in Greek grammar with lessons in Greek culture and phrase building in everyday situations. The creative lesson plans make sure that the student is always engaged and never bored! The school is located in a neoclassical building in the center of town and is close many restaurants and lodging. I would recommend this school without hesitation to anyone looking to study the Greek Language.

The individual lessons are truly individual: I even did not have to explain how my brain works and likes to learn and improve the language, my teacher already knew it after a few lessons. The joint tours with the school somewhere in the city of Thessaloniki are an enrichment not only for the improvement of my Greek, but also for the understanding of the city and the country in which I am living. Thank you Peek at Greek for your beautiful space in better times, the online lessons in times of the pandemic and your professional way of handling the different circumstances and technical situations.

I started my lessons in their language school in Thessaloniki because my partner is Greek and continued with online courses due to the Covid-pandemic. The lessons are adjusted to my individual progress, allowing me to learn in my own pace, but still challenge me and give me the possibility to develop by myself. The learning materials introduce the language skills required in real-life situations whilst transporting a lot of grammar and vocabulary. Now, after one year of learning, I have already made huge progress, finally allowing me to be part of Greek family conversations. I can only highly recommend their language school.
