★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best food in Grece! ( and I know what I am talking about), beautifull atmosphere, super friendly staff( mama and papa cooks), the kids wait the tables. Always a special attention at dessert time. However brace yourselve for the slowest service you can imagine. You have to wait your turn for this super fresh, local, top quality food. This said we wemt 5 nights in a row, and would go back anytime.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good vegetarian options: the stuffed vegetables and the egg plant in the oven were absolutely delicious. Also recommend the enormous house salad. HUGE portions - almost couldn’t finish but too yummy to leave anything.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great find! My review is related to the restaurant. It’s a very cosy pleasant atmosphere. Quieter and cooler than other places on the main street. The dishes like other people said how very generous portions but we were given a free box to take away what we couldn’t consume. A very good choice of Greek house wines. For a very reasonable price. Even got a chance to taste them to make my mind up. Can only highly recommend.
We had some house special dish with goat kid meat and local small pasta. I loved it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have stayed at Meltemi before and was there against in September. As always, I had a fantastic time. This is a family run establishment with rooms and a taverna. The rooms are simple, Greek accommodation which are clean and have everything you need for a comfortable stay including a fridge, kettle and basic utensils (I believe some rooms also have cooking facilities). If you are lucky, you may get a room which gives you an amazing view of the sunrise. The food in the taverna is exceptional. Everything is freshly made by the family, is reasonably priced and of excellent quality. I do not bother to eat anywhere else when I am on the island and I have seen that there are many other returning customers. I can highly recommend the lamb chops but everything I have ever eaten at the taverna has always been delicious and after travelling extensively in Greece, I can honestly say it is some of the best food I have ever eaten in the country. .Other reviews have said that the service is slow but I have never found this to be an issue and if you want food that is made freshly and with love, it is worth a little wait.
