 The interesting part is the tomb that remains intact. Worth a visit. Recommend continuing to walk to the Stalactite Canyon gorge, a unique and fascinating nature.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ένα από τα διαμάντια της ελληνικής αρχαιολογίας σε μια κάπως δυσπρόσιτη περιοχή που οι πολλοί προσπερνούν στερώντας ομως στον εαυτό τους την αίσθηση Μυκηναϊκού μεγαλείου και υποβλητικότητας που εκπέμπει ο τόπος της Περιστεριάς.
One of the diamonds of Greek archeology in a somewhat inaccessible area that many pass but depriving themselves of the sense of Mycenaean grandeur and evocative that the place of Peristeria emits.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Echt de moeite waard. Zowel de archeologische opgravingen als de grot. Beide klein maar fijn. Je rijdt heel makkelijk naar de opgraving en rechts van het hek loop je een pad op naar de grot. (15 min, berg af maar heel goed te doen) Neem waterschoenen mee. We liepen tot onze zwembroek in het heldere water. Kosten 3 euro pp voor de opgraving.
Really worth it. Both the archaeological excavations and the cave. Both small but nice. You can easily drive to the excavation site and to the right of the gate you walk up a path to the cave. (15 min, downhill but very doable) Bring water shoes. We walked up to our swimming trunks in the clear water. Costs 3 euros pp for the excavation.

Something special is not..there is a vaulted tomb that has been restored..the rest are ruins..from there begins a path to the gorge

The archeological site is always closed from what I learned. It has two vaulted tombs, one in perfect condition!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ενδιαφέρων αρχαιολογικός χώρος με τρεις θολωτούς τάφους, που χρονολογούνται από το 1500-1600 π.Χ.
Ο μεγαλύτερος ταφος, αποκαλείται και χρυσοφόρος, λογω των πολλών χρυσων κτερισμάτων που βρεθηκαν εκεί και διατηρείται σε άριστη κατάσταση. Ο δευτερος ταφος βρίσκεται κοντά στον πρώτο αλλά εχει καταρρεύσει η οροφή του θόλου. Ειναι κρίμα γιατί, με ευθύνη των αρχών, δεν έχει αναδειχθεί πλήρως ο χώρος. Το εισιτήριο κοστίζει 3 ευρώ, με τις γνωστές εκπτώσεις δωρεαν εισόδους.
Interesting archeological site with three vaulted tombs, dating from 1500-1600 BC.
The largest tomb is also called the golden one, due to the many golden bounties found there and it is kept in excellent condition. The second tomb is close to the first but the roof of the dome has collapsed. It is a pity because, with the responsibility of the authorities, the space has not been fully highlighted. The ticket costs 3 euros, with the well-known discounts on free admission.
