A	Adonis T on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Εχει διατηρηθει πολυ καλυτερα απο αλλα πυργοσπιτα οπως το πυργοσπιτο Ολυμπιου η Σουλειμαν-Καραγιανοπουλου. Πολυ ωραιο. It has been preserved much better than other tower houses such as the Olympus tower house or Suleiman-Karagianopoulos. Very nice.

Old tower built in such a way that its inhabitants are protected from pirate raids. It is located in Ano Lechonia at the foot of Pelion.

Το μέσο εμβαδόν ανά όροφο δεν ξεπερνά τα 15 τετραγωνικά μέτρα. Η τοιχοποιία είναι δίδυμη (διπλοντούβαρο) λιθοδομή με ξυλοδεσιές από ξύλο καστανιάς. Το πάχος του τοίχου ξεπερνά το 1,5 μέτρα, πράγμα που εξασφαλίζει σιγουριά. Ο τελευταίος όροφος εξέχει περιμετρικά και δημιουργεί «εξώστεγα» (τολμηρές προβολές). Οι κλειστοί χώροι είναι τα «σαχνισιά» (ξεπεταχτά) και οι ανοιχτοί τα «χαγιάτια» (ξάνωγα). Αυτά στηρίζονται σε αλλεπάλληλα οριζόντια «φορούσια» (δοκάρια). Όταν το μήκος ων φορουσιών ήταν μεγάλο, στηρίζονται από κάτω με λοξές αντηρίδες. Η είσοδος των πύργων είναι στον α΄ όροφο. Η πρόσβαση γίνεται συνήθως με κινητή σκάλα. Η πόρτα της εισόδου είναι σχετικά μικρή. Πάνω της υπάρχει «καταχύστρα ή φονιάς ή ζεματίστρα»(πέτρινο λούκι), απ’ όπου έριχναν καυτό νερό ή λάδι, όταν ο εχθρός πλησίαζε την είσοδο. Σ΄ όλους τους πύργους υπάρχουν στις όψεις τους «πολεμίστρες» (πολεμότρυπες) σχισμοειδείς, απ’ όπου αμύνονταν. Έχει τεράστια κληρονομιά ιστορική και πολιτιστική και υπέροχα αρχοντικά με διαφορετικές αρχιτεκτονικές! Ένα στολίδι του χωριού και τόπου καταγωγής μου είναι και το Πυργόσπιτο Κοκοσλή, που έχει ιστορία αιώνων και παρ'ολα αυτά σε μαγεύει με την επιβλητικότητα του! Ano Lechonia is a beautiful village and quite unjust for its history !! It has a huge historical and cultural heritage and wonderful mansions with different architectures! An ornament of my village and place of origin is the Kokosli Tower House, which has a history of centuries and yet enchants you with its imposing!
