★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took the menu for two people (15€ x2). Very copious and tasteful meal, with good entree and then lot of fishes, mostly fried ; with a little dessert. Definitly a good value for money. Good price, handsome food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you love traditional Greek food, Platanos Taverna is one of the best restaurants my family and I experienced in Poros. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the super friendly welcome of Ilias, the young and energetic restaurant owner who sat us at a table with a great view. The waiter took our orders promptly and delicious food showed up in no time. The menu offers good slections for meat, pork, chicken, seafood lovers. Also the ingredints on the variety of salads we ordere were organic and super fresh and like all the food we got, tasked delicious. If you love tasty, authentic Greek food and music, don’t leave the island of Poros without tasting the amazing food at Platanos Taverna.

Quick service and nice-ish food.
I gave them 4* just because the piglet and the kontosouvli pork were under-seasoning. They both needed more spices (salt, ?, oregano etc.).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good quality overall. Fast service although the place was packed, a big plus. Been there a few times, I would opt for the grill / meat menu over traditional plates. WC could have been in a better shape, costed the 5th star. A definite value for money recommendation, right in the city center.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For anyone in their 60s who might remember, this place used to be George's Cafe back in the 1970s & 80s. When he died, his son took it on.
It's now in the very capable hands of Ilias who is determined to maintain a true Greekness in his taverna. Wearing a white shirt & black trousers, and presenting a great menu & Greek music !! (Sadly dying out on Greek islands now). Open all year round for tourists & locals. Bravo !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant owner was super friendly. He so patiently explained his food to us. The roasted pork belly was divine. The menu is good enough to cover all Greek food. And the prices are very reasonable. Definitely will go there again if we were in Poros.
