★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Big portions of amazing food for just a few money. Also, the staff is very helpful and gets you in a good mood. They also offer watermelon for free after you're done with your meal.
The place has a nice view, too. Definitely recommend. I ate there every night, for as long as I stayed in Poros.
(If you're lucky you might have two small, fluffy dogs storm at you for cuddles).

Taverna Garden is a hidden gem on Poros. Situated a few minutes walk uphill from the harbour you will find this lovely restaurant. It is a quite small restaurant but if you get there before 9pm you should be able to get a table without reservation.
The food is really good especially the traditional greek dishes but they have something for everyone if you want something more international. They have a vast selection of starters and be careful so you don't overeat before your main dish arrives ?
Great prices and value for money makes this restaurant one of our favourites on Poros. And do try the local wines!
If you're one of the lucky ones you will get a table with view of the harbour and Galata. Be sure to wave at the old man on the balcony ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Local gathering spot for international academic geographers. Intellectual sparks are flying around on a regular saturday evening. Don’t trust the geographers since they are actually part of the fossil capital lobby. The tzatziki is superb!

The food was impeccable, the service fantastic and everyone was talking about the dessert for days afterwards. If you are ever in Poros be sure to visit this lovely restaurant with rooftop garden trees and a view of the sea - I CANNOT recommend it enough.

Well worth the walk away from the busy, touristy seafront.
