My favorite square in kypseli, an urban space where all the cultures in the area melt, bars and restaurants of great quality, anytime of the day this place shows its beauty!

A cute point of gathering of all Athenian tribes with good cafe and restaurant choices to choose from, in a lovely little corner of crntral Athens

Cosy place for a cafe or food. Young people so relaxing

A really really picturesque and lively neighbourhood plateia (square) which is surrounded by Agiou Georgiou church of course (its namesake), a couple of traditional Greek taverns, a souvladzidiko (souvlaki place that mainly does delivery), a little kafeneio all the old men like to congregate and spend time together as is part of culture historically here, a few cafe-bars offering snacks, coffees, drinks and sweets, a beautiful statue in the middle makes a lovely centrepiece of the square which is actually a roundabout.. with park benches attracting locals with kids, dogs and kids on bikes enjoying the atmosphere in the late afternoons. It is always busy in the plateia, especially at night where you’ll struggle to get a table, but it is a well-loved place for locals to meet up with their friends and go with partners or laptops for a coffee/ drink/ meal or place to strike up a conversation at another table, given that the roundabout is completely covered in the majority of tables for each of the corresponding shops around the other side of the road surrounding the roundabout. A lovely, tree-filled, energy-filled and community-feeling place.

Lively urban Square with great atmosphere. Lots of people are just meeting and hanging out there (there is a church with lots of stairs :)) . Lately, lots of bars, restaurants and cafés have opened around it and attracting lots of people from Kypseli and, even, the rest of Athens neighborhoods.

Had a long time to taste that lost feeling of the old good times classic Athens. The "pame plateia" and meet all ages together at the same spot kind! So vivid!
