Crystal clear waters (EU blue flag), sandy beach ideal for kids. Coffee, drinks and food options along the shoreline. Traditional pottery shops available.

Crystal clear waters on a beach with an EU blue flag. There are free, deckchair, toilets and showers on the beach at some point. There are lots of restaurants, bars and cafes also.

A nice little marina with permanent moorings to make your life easier. There is a very short walk to a nice beach with great restaurants and bars. Provisions can be obtained as well. Water and electricity provided, very reasonable prices. This is a great place to stop over and restock.

While quiet and quaint, the day passes here like it does nowhere else. Beauty and serenity are found here. With a few different accommodations and and various restaurants, ones focus here should be on the activities. We took @amandasifnoscruises out one day, hiked one, beach/kayaks another. The trails around here are amazing but be prepared for severe elevation changes! Can't say enough good things about this area, it truly is a hidden gem.

Little, but very nice marina, with great marina chief. Vista os absurderly low, 15 EUR! There are toiles and hot water in the showers. Small beach, with some bars and restaurant. The bay is windy, but not to much, do you should rock with no problems

At the arrival of our sailboat,I was satisfied to see that there is electricity and water on the docks, something important for us as well as a good 4G. The icing on the cake is that there is a toilet and shower, which is not so easy to find on N.Aegean harbours. We anchored in fairground outside the port by 5-7m deep, one night before in order to wait for the wind to get down a bit before mooring in the harbour with optimal conditions (The mooring can be difficult when strong gusts and we saw experimented skippers renouncing to it) . The harbour master is very welcoming and goes the extra mile to get us satisfied. I hear her say once « There’s no problem, only solutions » this is a positive way to see things that I appreciate. Too far from the tap ? She lent us a water hose. The electricity went down ? She put it back after my phone call. You have to rear berth and use the mooring lines (pendilles [fr]) in the port. The mooring lines are good contrary to what I could read elsewhere. It’s only the little strings that you need to pull first - They can be noticed with the little red ball attached - that are easily broken as they are thinner.
I had no apprehension bathing in clear and clean waters. The outside of the jetty was interesting for snorkelling and close from my sailboat. As we stayed a week - beginning of the summer season - we managed to realign a few of the mooring strings with the help of other sailors. Help yourself and others !! When I was there, once I could count 18 boats (including two catamaran) which is close to a full harbour maybe ? You can see a water-maker facility in the harbour and showers disseminated along the beaches but don’t get it wrong: as on many islands, water needs to be spared. Coming from the south, the surrounding is pleasantly greener and I could notice the attention to details of its inhabitants: the street cleaning is diligent and as a result inclines to contribute even more to it. Most houses - or BNB’s - are nicely decorated enhancing the rich pottery tradition of the village. I also noticed that signs are harmoniously displayed, not to big or too flashy, avoiding disfiguring the scenery. I would definitely recommend this destination to a family vacation close to nature (Many trails of varied difficulties to explore the island) and the fantastic beach.

Lots of cafes and guest houses on the beach. The water is clear and shallow for meters on end. One of the bigger and more commercial beaches on the island. There are some free areas, but it’s difficult to find natural shade.
