Poseidon Hotel & Spa Paros - Greece

My review concerns the beach bar. The location is great. However, the bar is not as exclusive as its deco and price promises. Numerous people come and put their umbrellas and plastic chairs literally next to you which ruins the sense of exclusivity and it makes it impossible to relax and enjoy the beautiful beach. I would not go back unfortunately.

Both tasteful and understated, this hotel excels because of the quality and overwhelmingly exceptional service the employees or better yet, the Poseidon team delivers. It gives me great pleasure to praise Nathan and Mr George, Zisis and Filipos or Panaghiotis, Olympia and Alexandra. What fantastically friendly and modest presences, whether for breakfast or quiet evening drinks, they made our stay a calming and pleasurable experience. I must say that hotel stars can be misleading, it is not in the furniture or the weight of draperies that memories are made. Frequent travels make for blurred recollection and beautiful hotels melt into varied destinations. The rooms here are simple, extremely clean and though they offer basic amenities and different options, do not expect unecessary luxury, they are all that they should be and pleasant because of their simple and unobtrusive design. The guests are civilized and the children unexpectedly well behaved, as if there is a tacit understanding that the glorious landscape and its small chapel call for peace and just enough family atmosphere, not to feel judged if you are travelling with your kids, which we are. Call us lucky or just very grateful but I think that this place is wonderful. It is our first time here, and were encouraged to come by friends on their third run. This summer, because of Covid, is a challenge for everyone but we were rewarded with this gem on Paros. The food here is delicious and our vegan friends’ needs were accomodated seamlessly, there’s a great supermarket in Dryos too, close by... It really is the best choice we could have made. Our last trip to Paros was very nice but our stay in a more pretentious hotel made for a stuffy atmosphere. Hope this helps you decide on where to stay on Paros. We will return! Small, but very fine appartment/hotel. Staff was making us feel very comfortable. Beautiful see to swim im, food also great. Nothing to complain about

Amazing hotel and stuff. Everything is very clean, everyone is very friendly. The food is high quality. Quiet and relaxing place for a good and refreshing rest. There is a Pier close to the hotel or you can walk to the wonderful beach nearby (3 mins by foot)

I stayed at this hotel during my visit, as I wished to strengthen relations between Greece and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The rooms and food were good, and I liked the spas, but the service was unacceptable! The security guards were discriminating my weight, not letting me do certain activities, and generally feeling as if I was not welcome. Unacceptable service. Never coming here again!

The hotel is very nice and resides on a famous beach in Paros (Golden beach). We like the food,the serive. But the rooms are very basic the hotel is half an hour from main attractions in Paros. We loved the hotel but it's nice if you are a group of freinds

Have you ever experienced flying Emirates with Ryanair service? I haven't but my stay at Poseidon of Paros sure came close. They brand themselves as the best luxurious 5-star resort on the island with a high reputation. That's fine with me if you act like it. Include this high standard in your regular service since you are already asking 200eu+ for a night.. - They charge you 15 euro's a day for a pair of beachbed's you can rent from them, they say it's fair comparing them to the other hotels on the same beach. I don't care what the others do, you are a 5-star luxurious resort and the best of the island aren't you? - Shuttle service from the (air)port is costing you 50euro's. While a regular taxi will probably cost you 30-40 euro's.. There is not really another way to get to the hotel except by car. Arrange a complementary shuttle service for your guests, since they mostly come either by plane or by ferry anyhow. I got complimentary shuttle service at all my other stays in resorts in Naxos, Mykonos and Santorini.. - I don't mind paying high prices at your restaurant but if I pay 30-40euro's for a main course I expect value for money and the food was just average. Better go to the tavern next door for better food and a quarter of te prices.. - They wanted to charge me 10/15 euro's for roomservice, while my room was above the kitchen, next door to the restaurant. Just set a minimum order amount.. - I wanted a room change because of the noise coming form the kitchen, they offered me a quiet room, but it was a downgrade since it was a lot smaller, had a garden view instead of a seaview and the interior was not as good as my previous room. At least offer the same level or an upgrade as a sign of exceptional hospitality. - They struggle with hot water since it's an island, I can understand. However why on earth would you then install a mixer tap which requires a certain pressure for the showerhead to work.. meaning you can't shower properly at least not with warm water. - I had to call two days in a row for roomcleaning.. I expect them to clean my room before 16:00 and not when we get back from an outing. However the location is absolutely stunning and the rooms looked very good. Staff is friendly but it seems they are limited in the service they are allowed to give, hence the 2 star rating.

Wonderful place! We stayed there for 3 nights with our 60 friends and everybody was very satisfied The service was very helpful and kind. The breakfasts offered a very wide range of products at the facility. If You like - you can swim in the pool or play tennis.
