★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Είναι ένα σημαντικό μεταβυζαντινό μνημείο του νομού Έβρου, χτισμένο μάλλον το 1695. Στην περιοχή γύρω από τον ναό υπάρχουν τάφοι από το 1690 και έπειτα. Στον ναό αυτό αν δεν κάνω λάθος βρέθηκε η Βυζαντινή εικόνα της "Παναγίας της Μεταξαδιώτισσας". Μαζί με τον Άγιο Αθανάσιο Αλεποχωρίου και τον Άγιο Παντελεήμονα στο Παλιούρι, οι τρεις αυτοί ναοί αποτελούν σημαντικά μεταβυζαντινά μνημεία της περιοχής που έχουν συνεισφέρει στην τοπική ιστορία.
 It is an important post-Byzantine monument in the prefecture of Evros, built probably in 1695. In the area around the temple there are tombs from 1690 onwards. In this church, if I am not mistaken, the Byzantine icon of "Panagia Metaxadiotissa" was found. Together with Agios Athanasios of Alepochori and Agios Panteleimon in Paliouri, these three temples are important post-Byzantine monuments of the area that have contributed to the local history.
