★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Open Tuesday to Sunday 10am - 6pm. Entrance €2 (August 2017). Nice site in a good condition, surrounded by oak trees. Not many information (only a panel at the entrance). Interesting place to visit near Rethimno and on the way to South Crete.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unique atmospheric archeological site, not to be missed. Entrance 3€ for adults. Well-explained, fantastic with kids, only be careful that they don't run around and fall in the holes!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its an imposing cemetery site of the late Mycenaean age. This practically means that this site dates back to 3.5 thousands of years ago. Archeologists excavated 500 selections and discovered 200 tombs. In two of those you can walk, not much to see but, just to inhale the history of you ares into that ?
Some parts of the site have been locked out with fence so, it might MAYBE mean they will open additional discoveries… Ticket is 3 euros. Not sure if it’s justifiable though.
