Peaceful quiet. Clean if basic rooms.small hairdryer provided,safe available and air conditioning. Air conditioning is a must in August. George and his family are lovely. The food is amazing and portion sizes huge. The specials on the menu are truly special. Slow cooked lamb drunk beef, lamb shanks all beautiful and enough for any man. I will definitely be going back

We stayed at the potamitis studios in September 2020. What a lovely place to stay, a hidden gem. George and his family made us very welcome and the food was fabulous. We had a studio in the older block but we were very happy with it, the only down side was the single beds but didn't bother us too much. The views from our balcony were spectacular over the hillside villages. We were very impressed. A 15min walk into town and the beautiful beach of Alykes. Covid rules and procedures were carried out to a tee, plenty of hand sanitation everywhere, Cleaning the tables chairs etc constantly. We would recommend this small and friendly accommodation to all.

Lovely quiet spot 15 minutes walk from the town centre and the beach. Adults only, small, family run hotel. The family are lovely and welcoming and very helpful if you need help outside of the normal holiday needs. We needed some medical help and we had a mobile phone crisis. The food in the cafe is delicious, they serve everything from breakfast to evening meals. We didn’t feel the need to eat in the noisy, crowded restaurants in town where conversations are drowned out my loud disco music. We ate each night in the open air on the pool deck which was peaceful. The complex is advertised as self catering but the facilities are very limited. There are two electric rings, one large, one the size of a milk pan. We had three odd pans and a pan lid which didn’t fit any of them. Cutlery is basic, no cooking utensils. 4 random knives, 3 forks and …… 4 bottle openers/ corkscrews! No chance of cooking anything really. Ever the optimists the hotel owners have provided for all eventualities so if you are ingenious enough to work out how to rustle up a meal within the constraints of the kitchen worry not, if your culinary delight catches fire there is a fire blanket. There was a new, clean fridge so we were able to store milk and cold drinks and some cold meat to make a sandwich, and there are bowls so cereal is feasible. Just do not book thinking you can survive on a self catering basis unless you can survive a week or two on cereal, crisps and sandwiches! This was a bargain holiday taken at the last minute when Turkey remained on the red list. It fitted the bill perfectly. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for an holiday, if you want peace, quiet and lots and lots of sun. We did wonder if it was a strange tradition that visitors bought and left a corkscrew in their room before they left and whether we should add number 5 but decided against it. Highly recommended PS no need to bring your own corkscrew there are 4 in room 14 !!!!

The best apartments in Alykes, run by a lovely family who can't do enough to make your holiday the best.

Just arrived back from a 2wks stay. As everyone says you can't fault the place. The apartments are spotless, cleaned everyday, bins emptied. Ours was no26. 1st floor, great views all round & privacy from bar on an evening with olive trees. As someone said before, don't expect to be able to make meals. Only 1 electric ring.Meals are all lovely in the restaurant, all freshly made & very filling. The pool was very cold but you got used to it, lots of sunbeds too. Be prepared for animal noise through the night as the apartments are set in a rural location,im talking chickens, geese, goats, cats & dogs barking all night long. You do switch off after a few nights. Buses are far & few between to Zante Town. It is possible, but our 2nd week the bus back was taken off(winter timetable). Plenty of nice walks through villages & up to churches & monasteries. We hired a car to get to the northern side, & it was worth doing. Marcus & Angela work very hard & we hope all goes well with the new addition to the family in January. My 1 & only niggle(&this is the entire country of Greece) is the amount of plastic they use. 2bins with thick plastic bags in apartments changed everyday & still using plastic straws!. Greece needs to get a grip with plastic & rubbish strewn everywhere, it let's the side down. Niggle over. Highly recommended this place, you won't be disappointed.

This is a great place to stay on Zakynthos. It is adults only - and most of them are middle aged + - and it is run by a lovely young couple, Angela and Marcos. The food is excellent and the menu extensive so top marks here too. The pool is beautiful and, to be honest, makes the beach redundant. Si, in summary - It is quiet and peaceful. It is very well managed and the catering is first rate. There is everything you need on site (but it is only a very short walk to the local supermarket should you need something in particular). Many of the guests are regular returnees over many years. We really enjoyed our stay at Potamitis and I am sure we will be there again soon. I unreservedly recommend it to fellow 'senior citizens'.

This place is magical, the family are so lovely and the food is also very good. This is our 7th visit and we will be back again in August.

George and his family are very friendly and helpful. Food on site is good. Evening meals tasty & good value. Nice bar & pool area. Best to pay for he extra for the better rooms.
