★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WARNING: Do not hike the circle route from Kosmas to Potistres (see picture)! Somebody set up hundreds of bee hives directly on the track and it is not possible to pass without being attacked.
Honey is a big thing in Kosmas and all along the track there are bee hives set up. Usually, there are set up only a few or those are set up somewhere next to the dirt road, so it is not a big problem to pass.
However, shortly after one passes the St. George church somewhere along the little river there are hundreds of bee hives directly set up on the dirt road for a few hundred meters. It is not possible to pass without being attacked and there is no alternative route. We tried to pass and got attacked by the bees!
This is a marked hiking route and I have no clue how this can happen. Apart from this, the track is really nice.
