★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ο προμαχώνας Μακρυγιάννη αποτελεί έναν από τους τέσσερις κυκλικούς πύργους του τείχους. Βρίσκεται στην ανατολική πλευρά του κάστρου ( πολύ κοντά στην κεντρική είσοδο, πίσω από το κτίριο των στρατώνων του Μαιζόν.) Ο προμαχώνας αυτός έχει πλέον μετατραπεί σε ένα μικρό αλλά κομψό μουσείο που φιλοξενεί την έκθεση της Εφορείας Εναλίων Αρχαιοτήτων και φέρει τον τίτλο «Βυθισμένοι οικισμοί της Νότιας Πελοποννήσου» τις άλλες δυο σχετικές εκθέσεις (αυτή στο κτίριο Πασά και αυτή στις καμάρες της Ακρόπολης του Κάστρου)
 The Makrigianni Bastion is one of the four circular towers of the wall. Located on the east side of the castle (very close to the main entrance, behind the Maison Barracks building.) This bastion has now been turned into a small but elegant museum that hosts the exhibition of the Ephorate of Antiquities and bears the title "Submerged Settlements" of the South Peloponnese »the other two related exhibitions (the one in the Pasha building and the one in the arches of the Castle Acropolis)
