Ο Γρηγόριος Ξενόπουλος (9 Δεκεμβρίου 1867 − 14 Ιανουαρίου 1951) γεννήθηκε στη Ζάκυνθο. Ήταν μυθιστοριογράφος, δημοσιογράφος και συγγραφέας θεατρικών έργων. Ηταν αρχισυντάκτης στο περιοδικό, η διάπλασις των Παίδων, κατά την περίοδο 1896 - 1948, καθώς και ιδρυτής και εκδότης του περιοδικού Νέα Εστία, όπου εκδίδεται μέχρι και σήμερα.
Η προτομή στήθηκε με πρωτοβουλία Κ.Μ.Ε.Ε.Θ. Θεατρικού μουσείου.

Grigorios Xenopoulos (December 9, 1867 - January 14, 1951) was born in Zakynthos. He was a novelist, journalist and playwright. He was the editor-in-chief of the magazine, the physique of Children, during the period 1896 - 1948, as well as the founder and publisher of the magazine Nea Estia, where it is published to this day.
The bust was erected on the initiative of Κ.Μ.Ε.Ε.Θ. Theatrical museum.
