Fantastic food. Fresh and tasty. We ordered the garlic mushrooms, chicken in garlic sauce and the steak on the bone. It was fabulous. The staff bend over backwards to serve. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely ivy plants all over the restaurant rooftop gives it a very nice feel. Thank you.

Another excellent meal on Corfu---this time on the northern tip of the island. The Pumphouse at lunch is a super relaxed restaurant right in the middle of Acharavi town. The inviting space is covered with ivy and the star jasmine ( which is in bloom in late may), giving the covered outdoor seating area an almost hidden feeling. I ordered the horiatiki salad, the taramosalata and the garlic mussels. The taramosalata was served with warm pita. Delicious and in a way refreshing on this hot noon day in Acharavi. Just the correct tartness and creaminess. The mussels we exceptional. Tiny mussels served in a tomato garlic broth that we absolutely loved!!! In fact the broth was so good , we spooned it out almost like soup.?? The horiatiki was served in a very traditional way---no dressing , which allowed us to add our own salt, pepper , olive oil and vinegar to the salad. Also tasty but not nearly as exciting as the mussels. Great service. Very reasonable prices There is plenty of seating and lots to watch from your table looking out at the world of Acharavi parading past the restaurant. Recommended--Go if you are anywhere near the northern tip of Corfu island .If your timing is in mid May to early June , you can have a great meal and enjoy the heavenly scent of the blooming star jasmine at the same time! PERFECT!
