Theritas Restaurant - Acharavi

Food wasn't bad. Atmosphere quite nice, small restaurant on a side road. However ordered a special pizza and got a Margherita. Asked if there was bacon in the pizza and was told no it's a Margherita. Said we asked for a Special pizza which was met with just a shrug and then the waiter just turned round and left. Quite poor really, there are lots of other restaurants in Acharavi.

We went here for only a starter to share with some drinks, but then also got the day special. After telling the at first friendly-seeming and talkative older waiter that there has been a misunderstanding, he showed us his true colors. He still overcharged us on the bill that we didn't get a receipt for, but we now know after reading the reviews he also charges for the not-so-complimentary olives with bread. Please stay away from this place. They'll try to scam tourists here. Also, the food is mediocre at best.

Super friendly staff. Great food and overall experience.

Food: Simple traditional Greek food, with a few international dishes such as Spaghetti Bolognese, and German bratwurst. Basic, no frills, with chips being the goto plate filler (I think we had three separate portions during our meal). Food itself was ok, but honestly I can't say it was anything special. Considering this restaurants selling point is authentic home cooked Greek food, I was hoping for more. Service: Restaurant owner eagerly greeted us and seated us quickly. He was also very eager for us to choose our options quickly, as he was expecting a surge in customers (I've been past this restaurant many times and never seen it at capacity). It started to rain and I asked if we could move under cover, only to be told there were other "priority" customers, considering we're the ones who had just ordered the best part of £100 of food, I would have liked to think that we ranked higher on this list than customers yet to be seated. Atmosphere: Just off the beaten track, with a very traditional feel, and relaxed quiet ambience. It's definitely rustic, and sometimes actually rusty. (We spent the whole meal staring at a rusty baby chair that god forbid anyone put an actual child in) Do go if you're after basic, traditional fare in a quiet setting. Don't go if you're expecting this to be cheaper and tastier than any other of the other Greek restaurants in Acharavi.

Absolutely delicious, we were tired after the flight and didn’t bother with looking for the restaurant. Theritas was the first one we saw and entered. Couldn’t dream of anything better!

We went here for a late evening dinner. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Even tho we gave them a difficult time as I am vegan and the only vegan options were sold our they went beyond themselves to offer me something nice still. I got some delicious garlic bread freshly grilled eggplant and as the absolute highlight their homemade french fries. And when I say homemade I mean it! The potatoes they use for their french fries were grown in their own garden and you could taste that, simply delicious! We will definitely come back just for a plate of French fries :D oh and we also had garlic mushrooms those were great too. Also meat lovers will find something nice here my boyfriend had a mixed grill platter and said it was great. We had a lovely evening in a nice atmosphere topped with some Ouzo on the house at the end.

Lovely, traditional, family run place. Really nice food at reasonable prices. Would highly recommend

It is so easy to say good things about this restaurant. We have already eaten there twice and are very happy with our choice. The owner and his family are friendly and go above and beyond what is often expected from hosts. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Feels like good old fashion authentic Greek cooking. You really taste the love.
