Unfortunately, we did not have a peaceful relaxing holiday that we had hoped for. Those where the reasons: 1. Breakfast You have no choice here and you can hardly influence it. You get the same breakfast for 2 weeks. English breakfast (Wet fried egg, microwave sausage, good toast, beans from the microwave and salted meat. In addition, it takes an average of 1.5 hours before you have something and you can not drink more than one a drink (coffee ore thee) Finally, people who order extra (pay) or come form outside are helped earlier. And it can take even longer. Sometimes we got ours in a supermarket nearby. 2. Hostess She is very stressed and can hardly keep up. She reacts a bit agresif and can not handle change well. And everything what you ask is a problem. Time we run out of toilet paper and we ask them for a new role, but she wanted to get money for it. 3. The rooms These are large, but there are always only 2 beds and a sofa bed. We were first above the store but because there were no curtains it was very light the entire time because of the floodlights that are on all night. You can also cook here they say, but it is a camping stove with two pans and two plates. 4. Bathroom Its small and thee is no holder on the wall for the shower head. In addition, there is nobpressior on the pipeline so you can only use the toilet 1x in 30min. We used the the showerhead to fill the container. 5. Beds Z.a.e.g. there are only 2 beds and sofa beds (concrete block with a pillow) 6. Son of the hostess I had once let ear plugs by the pool. That night I saw the son (21 years old) of Rena having my earplugs in his ears. When I pointed it out he apologized and give them back, but he said it wasn't his fault. 7. Bar People will turn on the music here until 1 am and if you spend enough money you will not have an end time. If you want , you can also just start at 10 a.m. with a beer they do not see the problem in that. 8. Cleaning You do not have to think too much about this, they come when they want and you can not send them away even when you're sleeping In the end we hardly slept one night (out of 15). And we are unfortunately not much rest on our vacation. Rena's husband is a good contact person and wants to help you. Unfortunately we can not give more stars for this stay.

Rip-off attitude. To be able to actually use air-con and safe they ask for extra fees. Nothing cleaned. Uncomplete and outdated kitchen equipment, no electric kettle, no toaster, holey coffee pot, corroded draining board. No clotheshorse. Even no basic stuff like soap or new toilet paper. Unprofessional and highly confused stuff. Nothing is as nice as on the pictures. Location in the middle of nowhere near busy road. At least near bus stop.

Decent rooms, air conditioning for an extra fee, no television. The location is kind of far from the city center and beaches. Small grocery store at the location - card payment available (only if you insist).

We're a family of 4 adults & had fantastic week here in self catering apartment. Exceptionally friendly & helpful staff. Felt like family, nothing too much trouble (just ask). Rooms are basic but clean & comfy beds. We looked out from 1st floor balcony to lovely clean pool & flowering trees. Food in the cafe /bar was delicious and reasonable prices. The small supermarket provided enough to make simple meals & prices similar to larger one 10 min walk away. Set along road to very small village of Gouves (with a few well reviewed restaurants) It's 15 mins walk to beach, towns of Analipsi & Kato Gouves with more beaches, lots of cafes, shops & bars are 25 mins (5 by bus). Close to bus stop & taxi office so easy to visit other parts of island cheaply. (We went to Malia and Knossos with no problem). But the best thing about this place is the wonderful people who run it. Thankyou Rena, Dena, Aris & Mr M for a very special week. We all feel so chilled after our stay. We hope to visit Crete again & will definitely stay with you all again

Terrible stay, happy to go home We planned our trip here (2weeks) because off the nice reviews. It should have been a quiet and peaceful place to stay. Just to make it easier, we included the breakfast too. It all sounded like the perfect holiday. Have we been foolished.... Our first night was terrible, as most off our nights will be. We knew the airco was not included. But we are not a bigg fan from airco's, we thought if we open the windows, we will survive. Unfortunately we were placed above the restaurant where the different smells off fright food will enter easely. Although we love french fries, we didnt want to smell like one. Around 03.00 some cats were entering the room trough the window. Cute but not so cute when you are allergic for it. So we were forced to shut the windows to keep the smell and kitties out and pay for the airco. After 2hours off sleeping we were all up again. At 05.00 the sun comes up and so were we.. the appartment had no curtains to keep the light out. So far for sleeping.. The next day we talked to the hoost (Rena) and asked her for a solution. She was not acting cooperative, in fact she did not take any responsibility, she even told us to call the goverment about it (?). We had to beg her to meet us somewhere so we can enjoy the holiday. Finally at the end of the day, when she had spoken with the manager, she had another appartment for us. She made it look like she moved heaven and earth for us and it was really tough on her. Other guests were put in the appartment we left behind, having the same problems all over again... The rest off the holiday wasn't any better, to sum it up: - the "beds" are hard an uncomfortable, some "beds" are stone benches with a thin cushen on top. - there are no closing times for the bar. Aslong as there are guest paying for drinks, the bar is open. - almost every night you can find drunken tourists at the bar around 03.00 and a drunken tourist is not a quiet one - a lot off noises at night (drunken tourist, doggs, cars, etc), so still not an option to open up the windows, you are forced to pay the airco and bigg trouble to get some good sleep at night - every other night something broke down; the generator, water supplier, toilet etc. It looks like they grather keep the old things and continue fixing them instead off replacing them with something new and better working - if we wanted the breakfast that we have paid for in advanced, we needed to wait +/- 1.5hour. Guests from outside or who still needed to pay, were helped before us. Many days we bought our breakfast outside because we did not have time to wait so long, the hoost did not care. - we received the same breakfast EVERYDAY and  the quality was poor, raw eggs, senseo pad as tea bagg, sausages that tasted like catfood etc. - when we asked for anything, like a small change in breakfast or just some toilet paper, the hoost gave us such a bad attitude,  like we are making a problem for them. The hoost is working verry hard, looked stressed out at times and misses social skills to support guests - showers are small and there is no place to hang the showerhead - some appartments dont have a shower curtain and you only get one small towel to dry the floor, with 4 persons in 1 appartment this is a mission impossible - the kitchen quality from the appartments is poor, not easy to cook anything here - no dish brush or dish soap available, all small things you expect in a appartment, you need to buy yourself - the swimmingpool area is nice but gets overcrowded at times The only good things were the manager/cook who tried to be helpfull, worked hard and cooked nice food. Also Dena the cleaning lady tried to make us at ease. I would not recommend this appartment to anyone. Please continue searching for another place to stay if you are searching for a nice holiday with the possibility to get some rest and be treated like a guest instead off an unwanted pett.

Typically basic rooms for Greece, and a little far to walk to the beach or other bars (certainly in the July heat!) but the warm service, beautiful pool area, reasonably-priced shop, and nice food all score top marks. Wouldn't have survived without paying the extra 5€ per day for Aircon, though; so that's a star dropped from the score

A simple basic accommodation run by two lovely ladies Rena and Dena who made our stay so nice. The food we had was brilliant whether it was breakfast made by Rena or superb chicken kebabs made by the evening chef ( sorry did not get his name) and an ice cold beer by the pool ended a relaxing day so well. Our room was basic but clean and had all we needed. There was noise from the road which we are not used to but it didn't spoil the holiday. Would come again ensured if a warm welcome.

Excellent! Was greeted on arrival and staff were very helpful and pleasant throughout. Owners took the time to see if I was settling in after a couple of days. Had a great stay!
