D	Dax Godderidge on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stumbled upon this quaint little diner on a wet stormy night. The hospitality was great and the food was also fab. If you like garlic then the cod and garlic is a must. The veal dishes were really nice as well.

Corfiot dishes like sofrito (veal with a white sauce of herbs, parsley and garlic served with fries usually), bourdeto (fish stew) and pastitsada (rooster or beef with red sauce served with pasta with a hole, like bucatini) are considered a must. My utmost favorite is the sofrito. This taverna is a humble little place sitting very centrally in the old town just behind the Liston. We were there for Easter but for five days we couldn't find a table even though they are open from noon to late night. They don't take reservations and they have 10 tables outside and another ten inside. Outside is the best when the weather is friendly. In order not to leave the island without trying their food, I decided to take action. So on our last day before heading to the port I went bravely(!) inside and bought two portions of sofrito to go (9,50 euros each). We had our own special corfiot lunch on the ferry boat on our way back home! And it was worth it!

We payed 23 Euro for so much food + two drinks. I can really recommend this restaurant to everyone who want to taste something special! Also we got Coffee, Grapes + Apples, Cumquats + selfmade Desserts for free - totally amazing, friendly and tasty day at Chrisomallis. More a Taverna than a Restaurant. Family run, so a bit offhand sometimes.. Photos of one or two celebs who have visited on the walls. Very small but sort of cosy inside. Ask what is available on the day. The bourdetto (Fish in a spicy sauce) a must if it’s available. Pastitsada (Beef chunks with Pasta) also lovely. If visiting Corfu go at least once. You may come back... Wi-Fi
C	Carlo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An institution in Corfù. It has recently gotten a new makeover - much cleaner than before, maybe also likely due to Coronavirus - but it is still good, traditional food. Amazing location, on Corfù‘s main street. Nice if unformal service, and probably the best saganaki I have ever eaten.
