Everything was frozen even the pizza, everything way to overpriced and the service sat back down to watch tv and we had to ask them for a menu… everything is fried, and the oil tastes old …what a joke … didn’t get a receipt either .

Meatballs were good. Moist and flavorful. Rice was nothing special, but it went well with the sauce. The beef on the otherhand was very dry and a chore to eat. The potatoes were also undercooked. Overall, quite disappointed with that particular dish. Staff was friendly. They brought bread without asking and initially charged. We mentioned we didn't order it and didn't touch it and they took it off the bill.

When in Ios island, you definitely need to visit the Safran restaurant, close to Ios club. It is the definition of Greek cuisine at it's best, just like you are invited at your best friend's house and his mother is cooking! Because Mrs. Margarita is cooking and the dishes are excellent, delicious, and Greek cuisine at its finest! We've tried many restaurants and taverns on the island, and this one surpasses each and every one of them by far! Today we had dolmadakia (stuffed grape leaves with rice and meat with a subtle lemony sauce), tsimetia, a traditional island dish with zucchini flowers stuffed with rice and fresh herbs (the best on the island), local fresh green beans, and soutzoukakia (local meat balls with tomato sauce)! Wonderful service, the owners Petros and Zampetty, children to Mrs. Margarita, and the best and most honest prices on the island! You can't afford to miss this one, no matter your age or nationality!

Visiting this restaurant was the highlight of our stay in Ios. The food was delicious, and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The lovely grandmother makes the food, which feels very authentic and home-cooked. This was the only time we came back twice to the same restaurant in our whole trip to Greece. Highly recommend!

Aloha! Our experience here was very welcoming and the food felt like home. The grandmother makes the dishes, so be sure to order stuff of grandmas menu along with the other items, as everything we had was lovely ? We had the Safran pizza, stuffed grape leaves, and Bolognese. Sooo yummy!! The owners are very kind and it felt like we were eating at someone’s home rather than a restaurant. Highly recommend!

Food was good albeit the menu was rather small. There weren’t any vegetarian options other than a hummus so I wouldn’t go here as a vegetarian. Had a burger but I had to ask for buns to go with it as it isn’t served with this. Other people in my group got sausages and fried squid both were very nice. Friendly owners as well.
