Sail Away - Fira

A wonderful experience with great food, the captain and crew could not have done more for us and the whole team were great in resolving a mix up with the dates and accommodating last minute changes in passengers which was entirely down to us! Would certainly recommend.

Our group of 8 (yes 8!) opted for the half-day tour, and we were left in awe by the experience that the crew aboard the catamaran had just delivered to us. The entire crew (Capt. Tzannes, Sailor Manu, and Chef George) were so professional and took such great care of us, treating us as if we were their own. Most importantly, they were all so incredibly kind on top of being extremely attentive and welcoming, making it very clear from the get-go that their goal was to ensure that we would have nothing shy of an incredible time. THEY. DELIVERED! The catamaran was exceptionally clean, and the crew went above and beyond to ensure we had a truly luxurious experience. Not once did any of us have an empty beverage cup, not once was the restroom/toilet ever not tended to and cleaned, after every individual use might I add, and not once afterward did we think twice about whether the decision to go with Sail Away Santorini Catamaran Sailing was the right choice. We loved that transportation, both to and from the catamaran, was arranged for us, sparing us from having to navigate the roads of Santorini. We were blown away by the food George prepared for us that afternoon - not to mention the sheer amount which fed all (hungry) eight of us sufficiently! Hands down, the food that we ate during the Catamaran trip was one of the best meals we had the pleasure of devouring during our entire 10-day tour of Greece. The ingredients were both simple and fresh, and the flavors robust and savory. George served up a Greek-style rice pilaf with hearty portions of Greek-style chicken slathered in a yummy mustard sauce, mussels served in a citrusy-pepper sauce, and shrimp drenched in a delicious butter sauce served alongside a packed tray of deliciously seasoned grilled vegetables; and there was plenty of wine and an assortment of beverages to wash it all down with! We opted for the single-stop during the sailing trip so that we could enjoy more time at one destination, and we were so happy that we did. At no point did this experience feel rushed, and the crew gave us ample time at every site location for photo opportunities, even wearing the photographer hat many times throughout our entire trip to help us capture these beautiful moments. I/we can't recommend this group and experience enough! We are grateful for the crew and the experience they provided us - they helped craft and foster one of the most memorable experiences of our trip, and we can't thank them and Sail Away Santorini Catamaran Sailing enough! We had a truly special experience with Sail Away. Knowing all the amazing things people say about the Santorini sunset but seeking an experience that would let us avoid fighting the crowds in Oia for space, we booked a private catamaran cruise with Sail Away. From start to finish, the Sail Away team exceeded all our expectations. We were picked up outside our hotel by a private shuttle (which also returned us there once the cruise was done). The three-person team on the boat (Tzannes, the captain; Manu; and George, the chef) warmly welcomed us on board and, while heading out of port, let us know the catamaran had a bluetooth speaker to which we could hook up our phone to play music throughout the trip. That wasn't something we had expected to be able to do, and it really took things to the next level. The crew sought our feedback throughout the trip, asking whether, for example, we would prefer to get out to swim at various locations or sail on to see a different spot. They also steered us away from some common mistakes other tourists, on trips with different companies, make. They were constantly attentive to our needs. Neither of us spends a lot of time on boats, so I had some concern as to whether we might get seasick; the crew was more than willing to advise us as to steps we could take to minimize that risk, and we had a fabulous time. They were willing to answer any question we had or tailor the trip to whatever we were looking for—and they are excellent at capturing that perfect picture ? The quality of the food they were able to put together using a boat’s kitchen is amazing. We ate VERY well. When we asked, George was even willing to teach us how to make the chicken, smothered in a delicious mustard sauce, which we couldn’t get enough of. The magic of watching the sun set in Santorini really can’t be overstated, and the Sail Away team put us in the right spot at the right time with the right ambience. We’d never done something like this before. If you’re considering booking a trip with them, we strongly recommend you do it—you’ll end up with memories you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

We had a great time on our private sunset cruise! It was exactly how it was described when we booked. We were picked up and dropped off by a shuttle service which was included in the reservation. We were met by George, Tzanis, and Petros who was the chef, driver, and owner. They were very respectful and friendly. We were told where we would sail during the 5 hour cruise and were told if we wanted to modify the places to see or go for a swim, to just let them know. They would stop at the different sightseeing spots, and George would explain the history and significance of those various places. He would also take amazing pictures for us at each stop. The cruise was a perfect speed where we sat in front of the catamaran and enjoyed the refreshing views. Towards the last 45 minutes, dinner was prepared for us and we got to eat dinner as we saw the sun set. Seafood dinner and desert was fresh and amazing; it was included in the package. After the sunset, we were brought back to the dock and shuttled back to our hotel. 10/10 service. Very respectful and nice people, cater to your needs, and have options for those who have dietary restrictions. Would definitely book again!

Everything about this experience was 5 stars. Booking and communication were very timely. They were EXTREMELY accommodating and willing to go above and beyond to set up a surprise proposal during our time on the catamaran. The staff were friendly, hospitable and a joy to be on the boat with. We caught some fog while out on the water and they quickly decided the best course so we could continue to enjoy the day and sun. The food they served, YUM! We had a dietary request which they met happily. If you want to go on a catamaran in Santorini - THIS IS THE COMPANY!!

An unreal private boat cruise! My husband and I booked this private cruise and it’s been the best experience of our honeymoon! The crew was knowledgeable and always ready to get us anything we needed and answer all of our questions. Lunch was incredible and so fresh. We got to swim and see incredible views of Santorini Can’t recommend this enough! ❤️The DeSistos

Of the myriad of sailing tours you have available in Santorini, Tzannes our skipper and George the chef of Sail Away had that special extra touch and looked after us so well on our private sail for two. We felt completely safe and free as a bird gliding over the glistening waters of the Caldera. Happily recommend to anyone who’s looking for that special moment in Santorini.

Our tour included 8 of our friends and family for a half day sail. We chose Sail Away because it stood out from the rest after reading countless reviews and let me just say… We had a FABULOUS time! Our captain, Tzannes, sailor Manu and chef George were amazing, friendly and very attentive the whole time. George prepared a delicious meal that was very memorable and one of our best meals during our whole trip. Book it because you will not regret this wonderful experience in Santorini!
