Of the recommendations we were expecting extraordinary food and athmosphere. The athmosphere was really perfect The food was OK but it was quite expensive. We didn’t have reservation but we had after- season (begin September) so we go a place also spontaneous. It was a good stay and the food was really nice as that was the most expensive stay for dinner in a restaurant for 4 persons at Cyclades by now. For that my recommendation stays only 50%

Everything was delicious, it was the. Best meatballs I had in my life. There is not to many options which is good because it makes it easier to choose. The owner/ cook is so nice and funny he sits down with you and helps you go over the menu. Thank you !!!!

Amazing local family run restaurant. The food was unreal. The price is excellent! We had the shrimp dish, sea bream, and mussels. They were so good! We also had red wine with honey (taste like chilled mulled wine), so delicious! It gets busy after 9pm. The owner tries his best to be attentive and he is great!

Undoubtedly one of the best traditional greek tavern on Ios (perhaps in all Greece?). The owner is very friendly, the food is cheap and extremely tasty. We had some tzatsiki, mushrooms in the oven, grandma's meatballs and wine leaves rolls, pitas for two and water...we paid 45 euros. Ephkaristo poly !

First thing, get the spicy cheese croquettes! If you really want to eat here: make a reservation. This will entail calling a minimum of twenty times over a span of three or four days. They will ask you to call back the next day. They will hang up on you. The phone will ring thirty times with no response. You will make a reservation somewhere else. Then, at a random time in the afternoon, they will call and offer you a table from 10-11:30 for that same evening. You’ll go at 10, wait twenty minutes, another couple will show up and get seated before you. You’ll mention it to the staff, they’ll move some people inside and give you their table. All this hassle, but… it’s worth it. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. I’d do it all over again.

I wish I had more than 5 stars to give to Sainis. We ate here 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed in Ios and my only regret was not making that 4/4. We tried nearly every dish on the menu and every single one of them was delicious. Standouts on the menu were the hot appetizer dishes, particularly the mushrooms, bougiordi and eggplant. The shrimp saganaki was also top notch. Authentic Greek cuisine expertly made; no extra bells on whistles on the presentation (other than the wonderfully decorated interior of the dining area) as none was needed with the level of care and effort put into making the dishes taste incredible. On the service: this is a family-run restaurant and upon being seated we felt immediately welcomed to be part of that. I could go on and on but I will leave you with what stood out to me: we had a dish the first night on the specials menu that was our favourite dish (Imam) but it was not there the second time we dined in. We asked the chef if he would have it on the menu for the following day and he offered to make it special for us if we came back. He started working hours earlier than normal the next day to prepare the dish and I could not be more grateful and impressed by the level of care and service these people gave to us (we ordered two orders of that dish in the same night so I hope we made it worth his time). If you’re looking for an experience in authentic Greek food, taking your time to enjoy every dish and every moment in a warm, friendly environment of a family restaurant, this is the place. Only warning: bring cash and a large appetite; you’ll need both.
