★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting place to get a glimpse on the ancient life of Greeks from the island. Unfortunately the information is not very well presented, flyers only in Greek and poor indications inside the sanctuary.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Monumental site. Here you feel connected with nature and the mysticism of this ancient holy place. The ancient stones alone can give an image of the glorious past, where the cabirian mysteries were practiced. The fee for the entrance is 3 eu ( children free from charge ). It is preposterous and shameful beeing a Greek, to see the local museum closed !! ( for restoration .. ) during high season... hopefully this will be restored soon. Other than that, it's absolutely worth visiting this holy place...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In 45 minutes you can see the whole ancient area,except of the museum (it is closed for renovations).
I got lost in some point to a dead end.
It is said that on the Sanctuary of the Gods is where the conception of Alexander the Great took place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a magical place. It transports you back to ancient times and you feel at peace. It's a great experience to walk where Philip II of Macedon, Herodotus, Lysander of Sparta etc have walked.
The place is well kept, there are toilets, outside, which is very convenient. A must see if you find yourself in Samothraki.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worth a visit. The archeological site is vast and interesting. When we were there (July 2021) the price was only 3 euros / adult and for children it was free. Before the entrance is the Archaeological Museum where you can find details and information about the Sanctuary of the Great Gods. It was a useful and interesting history lesson!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful, quiet place. Walk around the sanctuary is very enlightening and the place is interesting even for small kids. Entry is 3€ for adults, kids go for free. Definitely worth visiting.
