Arrived only to find we'd both left our case keys at home...dohh!! No worries, Yannis prised the locks open!!!After that had no problems, room cleaned regularly ,dont know if cooking ring worked because we always ate out, pool area was very good n bar fairly lively . Had a great time at the Greek night, 10mins walk to beach n town but that was no problem, would definitely stay here again

This hotel is so awful that we have just moved to a different hotel for the reminder of our holiday. We arrived to a room with bugs everywhere (completely infested with hundreds of ants, see pictures) cigarette burnt blankets and a deathtrap of a bathroom which floods completely whenever you shower. The uncleanliness is the last thing you need to worry about though. We have had to move hotels due to extreme sexual harassment from the bar manager Coli. He made inappropriate comments the days we were there such as ‘if I came into your room at night I wouldn’t be able to sleep’, he then took pictures of me around the pool in my bikini, found my social media and sent me the pictures he had taken asking why I wasn’t at the beach like I said I was going to be (screenshots attached) after this we contacted our travel company On The Beach who were so concerned for our safety that they payed for us to get moved to a new hotel as sandy Maria refused to give us a refund for our remaining 6 nights. When we told Coli that we weren’t attending their ‘Greek night’ and we’re going elsewhere for dinner, he told us that if we left the resort we would be locked out of our rooms that night!!! (If you read other reviews people have said that the staff are able to prize the locks of doors open) This threat was one too many and we managed to move hotels an hour later thanks to the amazing help from On the Beach! Absolutely terrifying and a disgusting way to treat anyone, let alone two 21 year old girls on their own. Avoid at all costs. Absolutely everything comes with a price and if you dare leave the resort or spend money elsewhere you are treated awfully and made to feel so unwelcome. Our balcony constantly was flooded and had a huge sharp nail sticking out of the ground. Towels, tiny bath mat and bedsheets are changed once every 4 days (if you’re lucky) and the place wasn’t swept or mopped once in the 5 days we managed to stick it out. Please please do not give these vile people your money, I’ll dance on the grave of this hotel when it goes out of business.

Possibly the best value for money hotel in Tsilivi! This is our 2nd time staying in Sandy Maria and our 3rd visit to Tsilivi and we love both. The hotel is situated just outside the main centre of activity, being a short 5 minute walk to the nearest (and some of best) restaurants. Some good tourist shops and markets also. The beech is about another 10 minute walk. Considering the cost of staying at the hotel, Sandy Maria is easily worth 5 stars in my opinion (though people on a soda pop budget expecting champagne results may be disappointed). The rooms are large having 3 single beds and basic kitchenette. Separate wc with shower. All clean and regularly serviced by maid. We tend to holiday at the beginning and end of the season so don't require air-conditioning but there are rooms available with it if required. There's a reasonably sized pool with plenty of sunbeds and the bar/cafe/reception is situated to oneside. Food in the cafe is excellent, nicely cooked, inexpensive and a reasonable menu. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly and great at maintaining a relaxing atmosphere. We like to eat out a lot sampling the various restaurants so we only really use the hotel as a bed and breakfast (though we do like to spend a few hours around the pool when the mood takes us). That said, if you're on a tight budget or simply want a relaxing holiday without wandering too far, Sandy Maria has everything you need. Highly recommended.

I went here about 4 years ago and our visit was riddled with problems. On more than one occasion, our rooms were infested with ants, reading through the reviews this seems to be a common problem. The rooms were not very clean when we got there and drinks were average price for Tsilivi. It was in a nice quiet area and the bar was never very populated. Also, there was a lot of mosquitos around the hotel, which i guess is to be expected on a holiday to Greece. Overall, i would recommend staying away from Sandy Maria and instead looking for a different option in the same area. We went to Tsilivi the following year and stayed in a much better hotel with great facilities closer to the restaurants (Mavrikos Hotel).

The hotel has seen better days. The cleaner emptied the bins every day but did no cleaning in the two weeks we were there. The room we had was always cold. The two ring hob only worked on the small ring. The kitchen sides were overrun by tiny ants. There was no plug in the bathroom sink which made shaving difficult.

The owners are very friendly, the studio was clean when we arrived and was cleaned every 3 days as promised. It would be hard to do self catering as facilities were very basic but we were aware of this before we arrived. It was in a quiet area but close enough to all amenities and restaurants. Would definitely recommend the apartments and the area. We would return.

Was great to be back last month May 2022 for a week. As always spotlessly clean, towels and beds changed regularly during visit, sure it was 3 times. Sandy and Giannis as welcoming as ever, met up with old friends, looking forward to going back. Its a great place, you are really looked after here, even if you travel alone you make friends and people look out for you.

I was a bit dubious, reading the reviews after booking but it's very good value for money, rooms are well kept, staff are very friendly, nice pool, nice location, quiet but still not far from town, overall a nice place to stay
