★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ερημωμένο καθολικό ξωκλήσι του 12ου ή 13ου αιώνα αφιερωμένο στην Αγία Ειρήνη. Η θέα απο εκεί είναι καταπληκτική αρκεί να υπάρχει άπνοια . Παλιοί χάρτες δείχνει ένα εκκλησάκι της Αγίας Ειρήνης στην περιοχή.
Η Αγία Ειρήνη λατρευόταν ιδιαίτερη την εποχή της Λατινοκρατίας. Ονομαζόταν Sant' Irene ή Sant' Irini απ' όπου και το Σαντορίνη!
Προπολεμικά η εικόνα την είχε μεταφερθεί στο ξωκλήσι του Τιμίου Σταυρού στους πρόποδες του Αντικέφαλου, στον Μώλο. Λανθασμένα μετέπειτα πίστεψαν μερικοί ότι ο Τίμιος Σταυρός ο οποίος ήταν μέχρι πρόσφατα ερειπωμένος, και μας είναι γνωστός και από έγγραφα αγοραπωλησίας, ότι ήταν αφιερωμένος στην Αγία Ειρήνη.
Deserted catholic chapel of the 12th or 13th century dedicated to Agia Irini. The view from there is amazing as long as there is apnea. Old maps show a small church of Agia Irini in the area.
Saint Irene was especially worshiped during the Latin occupation. It was called Sant 'Irene or Sant' Irini, hence Santorini!
Before the war, the icon was transferred to the chapel of the Holy Cross at the foot of Antikefalos, in Molos. Some later mistakenly believed that the Holy Cross, which until recently was in ruins, and is known to us from purchase documents, was dedicated to St. Irene.
