Σε έγγραφο για την ανέγερση της Καθολικής Μονής στην Παροικιά του 1674 αναγράφεται ο Ιωάννης Δαργέντας ο οποίος δωρίζει το κτήμα που μετέπειτα κτίζεται το Μοναστήρη των Καπουκίνων μοναχών. «Εδωρήθη εις τους καθολικούς πατέρες μικρόν οικόπεδον υπό του Γιαννουλάκη Δαργέντα, όπερ ενώσαντες οι Πατέρες μεθ' ετέρου οικοπέδου αγορασθέντος υπό αυτών ήρχισαν αμέσως τας προκαταρκτικάς εργασίας προς ανέγερσης Μονής.» Το κτήμα αυτό άνηκε στον άρχοντα και Δήμαρχο Πάρου Λεονάρδο Κονδύλη το οποίο έδωσε ως προίκα στον γάμο της κόρης του με τον Ιωάννη Δαργέντα. Ο άρχοντα Λεονάρδος Κονδύλης ήταν από τους «φανατικότερους» καθολικούς του νησιού. Πολλές ήταν οι ανδραγαθίες τους τόσο προς την τοπική εκκλησία όσο και στους ομόθρησκους του.
Σε έγγραφο για την ανέγερση της Καθολικής Μονής στην Παροικιά του 1674 αναγράφεται ο Τζουάνες Γιράρδης, ο Giacomo Zellini.

A document for the construction of the Catholic Monastery in Parikia of 1674 states Ioannis Dargentas who donated the property that was later built by the Monastery of the Capuchin monks. "A small plot of land was given to the Catholic fathers under Giannoulakis Dargentas, where the Fathers united with another plot of land purchased under them and immediately began the preliminary work for the construction of a monastery." This estate belonged to the lord and Mayor of Paros, Leonardo Kondylis, who gave it as a dowry to his daughter's marriage to Ioannis Dargentas. Lord Leonardos Kondylis was one of the "most fanatical" Catholics of the island. There were many feats for both the local church and its fellow believers.
