★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wunderbare Lage mit Blick zur Souda Bay und den Lefka Ori. Athina Villa ist ein perfekt eingerichtetes, sehr gepflegtes kleines Haus mit großer Terrasse zum Meer. Der große Privatpool (4×10 m) ist göttlich. Sehr freundlicher und warmherziger Vermieter, der immer ansprechbar ist und uns nicht nur mit einem Willkommenskorb mit selbst produziertem Olivenöl und Wein begrüßt hat, sondern uns auch während des Aufenthalts mit frischem Obst, Gemüse und Eiern versorgt hat. Kretische Gastfreundschaft ist legendär!?
Die kleinen Orte Vamos und Gavalochori sind jeweils ca 1.5 km entfernt und bieten jede Menge Tavernen, Kafenions und Supermärkte. Tipp: den Oldtownwalk des Vamos Tourist Office gehen!
Mietwagen ist unabdingbar, aber für Ausflüge sowieso anzuraten.
SAT-TV hatte keine deutschen Sender, aber haben wir nicht vermisst. Eine bessere Matratze wäre schön, das war der einzige Minuspunkt ? W-Lan funktionierte übrigens hervorragend, auch am Pool.

 Wonderful location with a view of Souda Bay and the Lefka Ori. Athina Villa is a perfectly furnished, very well-kept small house with a large terrace facing the sea. The large private pool (4 × 10 m) is divine. Very friendly and warm-hearted landlord, who is always responsive and not only greeted us with a welcome basket with self-produced olive oil and wine, but also provided us with fresh fruit, vegetables and eggs during our stay. Cretan hospitality is legendary! ?
The small towns of Vamos and Gavalochori are each about 1.5 km away and offer plenty of taverns, kafenions and supermarkets. Tip: go the Oldtownwalk of the Vamos Tourist Office!
Rental car is essential, but advisable for excursions anyway.
SAT-TV had no German channels, but we didn't miss it. A better mattress would be nice, that was the only negative point ? By the way, WiFi worked great, also at the pool.

Everything we imagined and even more.
First and most Jorge the owner, a lovely man and a true friend.
That is A new villa that is tastefully decorated, spacious and beautiful. Equipped with everything you need and much more.
The amazing location overlooking the Gulf of Sauda that allows you to enjoy the relaxing and pleasant atmosphere of Crete, as well as the proximity to everywhere , to the village of Vamos and the beautiful cities of Chania and Rethymno.
The amazing courtyard with the spice garden and the swimming pool which is just perfect.
It is not by chance that we return here year after year, for many years.
