★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Greek traditional tavern at the central square of Stemnitsa village. Very good grill and starters, big portions of food and nice local wine. Casual environment, Greek traditional music and good service. It is also nice for families and kids.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I have decided this is our favorite restaurant in the world. We have been to Stemnitsa three times so far, and we plan on returning as often as we can. When we are in Stemnitsa, we look forward to dining here every evening. Awesome value. Kind staff. Delicious Greek food. We've had everything on the menu! And nothing disappoints. This is definitely THE place to go after a day of hiking in the mountains.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered roasted papers, amongst other things. After the first bite we realized the peppers, which had a terrible taste, were from a jar and served as they are. I asked the waiter about it, he confirmed, but shrugged his shoulders. We didnt eat it. But were charged for it. No respectabke cook would serve a dish that comes from a bought jar. Thats how they treat touists in this restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owner of the guesthouse we stayed in recommended this tavern. The food was simple, but so delicious and fresh. It was the first meal we had in Greece, and I have to say it was probably the best, even better than food along the coast and in Athens. Something about the food and the atmosphere feels really authentic. Also, it was extremely cheap, so that's a plus.
