Λίγα πράγματα και καλά... και είμασταν παρέα 8 φίλων. Honest wine kitchen, one of the rare ones today. The people are honest, with great service and excellently cooked dishes. A few things and well ... and we were a group of 8 friends.

The place was really busy as it’s bank holiday in Greece (28th Oct). We still got a table, the waiter greeted us straight away and told us that a table will be ready in 5 mins for us. Throughout the service the waiter was very friendly and prompt. The food is gorgeous, proper bistro style! No menu, we’ve been told the today’s specials. The lamb stew was tender and well seasoned. The chicken in lemon sauce was super tasty too. We got our wine for free at the end and got a guide book from the owner as a gift. Great service, lovely food! I would come back! Thank you! ??

We decided to stay due to the fact that the rest of the village was full of people and we had a long trip ahead. We ordered 1 portion of sausage, 1 of lamb ribs, a cabbage salad and feta cheese as these were the only dishes available. The service was a disaster (the waiter didn't even bring us glasses or water). Although the food was not bad the owner charged us 25 euro for the portion of lamb ribs. His excuse was that the portion was 800 grams... overall the staff was totally unprofessional with a clear intention to make as much money as possible during a peak holiday date. We later found out that the tavern opens occasionally on such peak dates.

They also have several vegetable plates, something rare in Greece. Recommended if you're looking for a non tourist restaurant.

Reminiscent of a time long gone situated in a classic mama's style tavern, serving authentic traditional Greek food! ▪️Probably some of the best cooking in the traditional/local cuisine. ▪️Prices were ok - could be a lot better from other competitors in the area. ▪️Place was really cozy. Stoney tavern situated just a few meters from the heart of Stemnitsa. Will visit again!
