Βρισκεται στο ψηλότερο σημείο του Αρακύνθου (965 μ.) και μπορεί να φιλοξενήσει 5 εως 7 άτομα. Εχει μικρή κουζίνα, τζάκι, εξωτερική τουαλέτα και βρόχινο νερό. Βρίσκεται μεσα σε δασος βελανιδιάς. Υπάρχει και χωματόδρομος που οδηγεί στο καταφύγιο, αλλά είναι μόνο γιά 4χ4. It is an old outpost that has been turned into a shelter by the Mountaineering Association of Messolonghi. It is located at the highest point of Arakynthos (965 m.) And can accommodate 5 to 7 people. It has a kitchenette, fireplace, outdoor toilet and rain water. It is located in an oak forest. An old fire station that operated until the 90's, which today remains in disuse. It was built in the early 1960s long before the forest road leading to it was built. The view offered by the point at the top of Libra is fantastic. can be reached from the path of Hunista on foot or by bicycle from the village of Ellinika Messolonghi.

Μια απλή βόλτα στα σοκάκια και τις πλατείες μπορεί να σου ξεδιπλώσει όλοι την ιστορία του. Για τους λάτρεις της πεζοπορίας ο Αράκυνθος θα σε τραβήξει για λίγες ώρες στην υπέροχη κορυφογραμμή του που από την αρχή της επίσκεψης σου, θα συντροφεύει το βλέμμα σου από μακριά. Αγγίζοντάς τον βιωματικά πλέον, θα αγναντέψεις από την κορυφή του όλη αυτή την ιδιαίτερη περιοχή του εθνικού πάρκου Μεσολογγίου-Αιτωλικού αφήνοντας μια αίσθηση γαλήνης στο βλέμμα. Ακόμη και εκτός περιόδου ο επισκέπτης θα μπορέσει να δει κάποια από τα πουλιά που παραμένουν στην περιοχή δια γυμνού οφθαλμού. Σίγουρα θα χρειαστεί να έχει κάποιον οδηγό μαζί του γνώστη της περιοχής ούτως ώστε να κερδίζεται πολύτιμος χρόνος και για άλλες δραστηριότητες. Φαγητό και εξυπηρέτηση στα εστιατόρια πολύ καλή σε γενικό βαθμό. Αξίζει μια επίσκεψη στην περιοχή για ένα ΣΚ που σίγουρα δεν θα είναι χαμένος χρόνος. Αντιθέτως θα γεμίσει ο νους με εικόνες όμορφες και κυρίως με εκείνο το υπέροχο ηλιοβασίλεμα που είναι μοναδικό...
