Very good shelter and the manager impeccable the food very well !! the only downside to cleaning the toilets ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Η πρόσβαση γίνεται μέσω μονοπατιού που ξεκινάει από τον Αθ. Διάκο (ρωτήστε στην πλατεία) με πολύ καλή σήμανση, καθαρός χρόνος ανάβασης 2:30 με 3:00 ώρες σε καλές καιρικές συνθήκες, προσοχή!απαιτεί καλή φυσική κατάσταση. Υπάρχει η εναλλακτική του αυτοκινήτου μέσω χωματόδρομου ο οποίος είναι σε καλή κατάσταση όταν δεν υπάρχουν χιόνια. Το καταφύγιο προσφέρει φαγητό και ροφήματα και μπορεί να φιλοξενήσει πολλά άτομα για διανυκτέρευση, επιβάλλεται όμως να επικοινωνήσετε στο τηλέφωνο που αναγράφεται, πριν ανεβείτε (δεν είναι διαρκώς ανοικτό), ειδικά εάν σκοπεύετε να κοιμηθείτε εκεί. Γίνονται διαρκώς προσπάθειες αναβάθμισης/ βελτιώσεων.
Access is via a path that starts from Ath. Diakos (ask in the square) with very good signage, clear climb time 2:30 to 3:00 hours in good weather conditions, attention! Requires good physical condition. There is the alternative of the car via dirt road which is in good condition when there is no snow. The shelter offers food and drink and can accommodate many people for the night, but it is necessary to contact the listed phone before going up (it is not always open), especially if you plan to sleep there. Efforts are constantly being made to upgrade / improve.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Εξαιρετική η διαμονή μας εκεί. Από τα πιο όμορφα και καλά οργανωμένα καταφύγια! Το φαγητό αλλά και τα παιδιά που το διαχειρίζονται, μας άφησαν τις καλύτερες εντυπώσεις. Γίνεται ανακαίνιση οπότε φαντάζομαι το αποτέλεσμα θα γίνει ακόμα πιο καλό. Ευχαριστούμε πολύ για όλα!
Our stay there is excellent. One of the most beautiful and well-organized shelters! The food and the children who manage it, left us the best impressions. It is being renovated so I imagine the result will be even better. Thank you very much for everything!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice shelter to stay while you hike/climb/mountaineer on the mountain of Vardousia. Not always open. Communication with the shelter admin should be done first.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful mountain refuge at an impressive location of Vardousia mountains (at an altitude of 2000+meters aproximately). It is about 3 hours on foot from the Athanasios Diakos village but is also accessible by a dirt road. The owners are cooking very good and they are very friendly and hospitable.
