Beautiful Beach and place

We walked down the path from village Vizitsa to the train station of Milies. The path is really not a difficult one, and we needed only 45 minutes to reach the train station. But we faced two problems. Path was not well marked and you could easily loose the red dots along the way. Secondly, the path is not cleaned and prepared for hikers. If you do not have hiking shoes and good equipment, you risk of getting bite by a snake for sure. Dried leaves were covering the path so you do not have a good vision of what you can step on. At the end of the path, some 100 meters are covered with bushes, we were a bit scared that something really can easily bite us. However, reaching the station was really awesome and it is a small diamond of Pilio. But again we got disappointed because it is obvious that government is not investing enough so the station could work on a daily basis as a tourist attraction. Nevertheless, nature that surrounds the station is out of heaven!!! You can stay there for hours and still it will not be enough! Above the station there is a nice restaurant where you can refresh before you continue to Milies walking up a stone road for another 15 minutes. It is definitely worth of visiting.

Once the transport hub for the mountain villages of the Pelion in the days before the roads were built and travel was by train and by foot. Set within the lush forest and ravines, the Milies Railroad Station is one of the prettiest places to visit in Pelion.

Beautiful views lovely cafe. Sadly missed out on the steam train but station is a nice place to wonder with a toddler who is a railway enthusiast.
